While it seems there won’t be an official WWE Draft 2025 as the year wraps up, there could still be shifts from the main roster to NXT.
From stars that came from NXT to others that make sense to make an appearance for a specific reason — there are some interesting options for stars that could return to the brand.
Here are seven WWE stars that could make a return to NXT.
7. Carmelo Hayes

After recently reuniting on NXT Homecoming with Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes would end up breaking things off with The Miz back on SmackDown.
With the Melo Don’t Miz tag team seemingly done in the wake of a feud between the two, it could be that Melo returns to NXT to reunite with Trick Williams once more.
A fan favorite duo on NXT, the pair could reframe their characters at the Performance Center before returning to the main roster in short order as a unit.
Able to make a powerful tag team on either WWE Raw or SmackDown, a Trick Melo Gang reunion is a must in the near future.

6. Creed Brothers

Some or all of the members of American Made (Julius & Brutus Creed and Ivy Nile) could definitely make a return to NXT.
Able to have a dream match against current NXT Tag Team Champions, Matt and Jeff Hardy — the Creed Brothers could make a major contribution to rebuilding the division.
Since Chad Gable is out of action due to injury and El Grande Americano has splintered off into his own Los Americanos group — perhaps American Made could return to NXT.
Seemingly poised to face off against Los Americanos (Ludwig Kaiser, Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) when Chad Gable returns from injury, in the meantime the Creed Brothers could pick up some matches on NXT.#

5. Alba Fyre

Although acclaimed for her tag team action in recent years, Alba Fyre had a landmark reign as NXT UK Women’s Champion.
Reigning over the division for 649 days, Kay Lee Ray as she was known at the time was a force that could make a return to NXT.
While Alba Fyre has already returned to NXT to some degree along with Chelsea Green in their alliance with Ethan Page, it could make sense for her to give it a singles run.
A capable veteran who could take over in the TNA Knockouts division, perhaps there is more for Alba Fyre to be doing in addition to her supporting role with Green and Page.

4. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)

While the NXT tag team division is rebuilding, there are an interesting pair of legends that are the current tag team champs — Matt and Jeff Hardy.
As such, it would be a bit of a missed opportunity not to see the Hardys face off against as many of WWE’s best teams as possible.
Making a great reason to see several main roster teams head to NXT to take on the pair of Matt and Jeff, one top choice would have to be the Motor City Machine Guns.
Bringing a battle between the Motor City Machine Guns and the Hardy Boyz to NXT would be incredible.

3. AJ Lee & CM Punk

Able to take on the multiple mixed tag teams on NXT at the minute, there could be an incredible tournament that came from a planned appearance by the power couple.
With the mixed tag teams on NXT attempting to vie for the opportunity to face AJ Lee & CM Punk via a tournament, it could lead to a really fun match but also showcase characters in a new way.
Real life pairs like Arianna Grace and Stacks Lorenzo or factions like The Culling’s Izzi Dame & Shawn Spears could face-off to earn the main roster shot.
Potentially leading to some fun entrants from the main roster as well with duos like Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano perhaps seeking a shot at the pair — it could be an incredible series of events leading up to just one appearance from the duo on The CW.

2. Wyatt Sicks

The Wyatt Sicks have never made an appearance in WWE NXT since their debut.
They aren’t struggling for success on the main roster, with Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis reigning as WWE Tag Team Champions.
The group is a tribute to Bray Wyatt, continuing his legacy and creative mind.
With Bray Wyatt’s connection to NXT with the original Wyatt Family forming there in the early days of the brand, it would be great to see the Wyatt Sicks make some appearances.

1. LWO

Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro first formed a tag team in WWE as part of Legado Del Fantasma in NXT.
Since they’ve joined the main roster, where they’re now part of the LWO, they’ve had very few opportunities to showcase their true skills on the big stage.
When they have the occasional matches in AAA or even in NXT, they showcase every time why they should be featured more on the main roster.
A full-time move to NXT would mean a better showcase of their abilities, and a chance for the younger talents to learn from two veterans.
