WWE Stars To Be Repackaged

The current WWE roster features some talents whose gimmicks have become stale or whose pushes have stalled.

Historically, repackaging has elevated mid-card acts into main-event stars.

From transformations like The Ringmaster into Stone Cold Steve Austin, or Husky Harris into Bray Wyatt, the precedent is clear.

The following talents could all benefit from a creative reinvention.

7. Los Garza

Legado Del Fantasma seems to be on the verge of a split.

In recent weeks on WWE SmackDown, Andrade has tried to convince Los Garza to leave Santos Escobar’s faction and join him.

Los Garza are an incredibly talented – as their recent match against Fraxiom showed – yet underutilised tag team.

Aligning with Andrade could give both him and the Garzas a much-needed refresh, potentially leading to a reimagined lucha faction.

6. Austin Theory

In a recent interview with Billboard, Randy Orton was asked who he would fantasy book in a new Evolution-style faction, naming NXT’s Myles Borne and Raw’s Austin Theory as potential members.

Theory’s current team with Grayson Waller seems to be on its way out after Waller set him up for a match with Sheamus on the May 5 episode of WWE Raw.

Once hailed as a surefire star, Theory has struggled to find much success in recent years.

Could Orton’s fantasy booking become a reality, with a new faction led by him alongside Myles Borne and a repackaged Austin Theory?

5. Ridge Holland

Ridge Holland once played a prominent role in the Brawling Brutes alongside Sheamus and Pete Dunne.

Sent back to NXT at the end of 2023, he has languished there since.

However, his thrilling, hard-hitting encounter with Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura in a battle royal on May 6 demonstrated his undeniable ability.

A short excursion to Japan with WWE’s partner, Pro-Wrestling NOAH, could be the perfect opportunity to repackage the talented Yorkshireman before a return to the main roster.

4. Sheamus

Speaking of the Brawling Brutes, Sheamus made his return to WWE programming on the May 5 edition of Raw.

In his first appearance since March, he defeated Austin Theory in a predictably hard-hitting affair.

While Sheamus continues to be one of WWE’s most consistent and hardworking in-ring performers, his character has remained stagnant.

A refashioned and updated character could propel him from a sporadically featured star to a title challenger – one deserving of his in-ring talent.

3. Wyatt Sicks

The Wyatt Sicks have seemingly disappeared from WWE programming, with their absence being attributed to Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy’s injury.

Speculation has mounted of a new leader for the group, with Alexa Bliss potentially reprising her Fiend-era gimmick.

With Bliss reappearing on SmackDown on May 9, the trigger could soon be pulled on reintroducing the group.

The question becomes: could this newly refashioned Wyatt Sicks make an appearance at Backlash?

2. Jimmy Uso

Jey Uso is riding a wave of unparalleled success, having captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

He’s now expected to main event WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24 in another huge match – this time against megastar influencer Logan Paul.

Brother Jimmy, however, seems to be struggling, recently seen in backstage comedy segments chatting with R-Truth.

A character refresh feels urgently needed – before Jimmy is remembered only as the Marty Jannetty of The Usos.

1. Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross dropped a vitriolic “shoot” promo that went viral across the wrestling world in the wake of WrestleMania.

Referring to himself by his pre-WWE name, Killer Kross, he took aim at the company’s booking of his character over the years.

After multiple underwhelming gimmicks and stop-start pushes, his real-world frustration understandably exploded through the screen.

He’s had a renewed presence on television since – but could we now see the debut of Killer Kross?
