After capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown, perhaps Drew McIntyre could look for some outside help in his bid to retain the gold until WrestleMania 42 and beyond.
From former allies outside of WWE, to more unexpected choices, there are some intriguing options for which WWE stars could become minions of McIntyre.
Here are six WWE stars that could join a new Drew McIntyre faction.
6. LA Knight

A potential new ally for Drew McIntyre could also be a return to a former alliance.
While their shared history in TNA Wrestling hasn’t taken center stage in a storyline just yet in WWE, there is a foundation for LA Knight and Drew McIntyre to join forces.
Having featured in the short-lived 2015 stable The Rising in TNA Wrestling together already, there was a third member of the group who also finds himself on the SmackDown roster today.
The Rising was Drew Galloway (McIntyre), Eli Drake (LA Knight) and Micah (Tonga Loa), and they were only together from April to July in 2015. While their history probably isn’t something to be tapped into, at least two of the three members could reunite in WWE to make a dynamic duo.

5. Jacob Fatu

The long-awaited WWE return of Jacob Fatu saw the “Samoan Werewolf” interrupt Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre’s Undisputed WWE Championship Three Stages of Hell match and directly lead to the finish.
While Fatu returned seemingly to seek vengeance on Drew McIntyre, when Cody Rhodes attempted to pull Fatu away, instead Rhodes and Fatu came to blows.
Paving the way for McIntyre to sneak out of the cage and capture the victory, after McIntyre’s win Rhodes went on to attack Jacob Fatu.
While it seems pretty clear that Jacob Fatu could be aiming for McIntyre, there could be an interesting swerve by which he ends up aligning with the new Undisputed WWE Champion for now, even if its short-lived.

4. Logan Paul

Another former partnership that could be brought back now that Drew McIntyre has captured the Undisputed WWE Championship is Logan Paul.
At WWE SummerSlam 2025, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul teamed up to defeat Jelly Roll and Randy Orton in a tag team match before resuming their alliance a few months later.
With both Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre joining The Vision for Survivor Series WarGames, it would end up being Paul that remained with the group while McIntyre returned to SmackDown.
Potentially looking to recruit an ally to watch his back on the blue brand, Logan Paul might be the perfect addition to a new Drew McIntyre faction.

3. Rusev

One heel star that could use a bit of a character refresh might be Rusev as he continues to lack a major storyline on WWE Raw.
With the Bulgarian star absent from WWE TV for over a month, he could make a return to join forces with McIntyre.
Having featured on WWE Raw since his return to the company, flipping over to SmackDown and joining up with the new Undisputed WWE Champion could be beneficial for Rusev.
With a potential feud with Carmelo Hayes over the United States Championship, Rusev could prove to be a frightening force for McIntyre’s new group.

2. Johnny Gargano

A potential unlikely new ally for Drew McIntyre that could prove entirely perfect in the end is Johnny Gargano.
With reports that Tommaso Ciampa’s time with WWE could be coming to a close, Gargano may have a unique opportunity to join forces with the current Undisputed WWE Champion.
Able to bring his fearlessness both in the ring as well as in backstage segments, Gargano’s ability to be a convincingly silly heel could add an important element of levity to the faction.
With Drew McIntyre likely to assemble a squad of heavy-hitting albeit quietly frightening characters, the group might also need balance with a smaller, loud mouthed star like Gargano.

1. Trick Williams

Becoming another NXT star to be called up to the main roster in 2026, there will certainly be big things ahead already for Trick Williams.
Already making an impact on his debut on SmackDown, stepping up to veteran WWE stars Sami Zayn and Randy Orton — Trick Williams could prove the perfect ally for Drew McIntyre.
With the duo both able to tower over the competition, Williams would be wise to watch the back of the brand new Undisputed WWE Champion if for no other reason than the gain favor in the future.
While first serving as a sidekick to McIntyre, Williams could end up also having babyface turn in the event the veteran star began feeling threatened by his ascent on SmackDown.
