WWE SmackDown Stars To Leave The Show

With one star suspended from WWE SmackDown, there could be even more changes coming soon to the blue brand’s roster.

From the top name who has been cast out of SmackDown to a ferocious star who just dropped their title and could be looking for a reboot — there are several WWE stars with solid reasons to depart the show.

Here are five WWE SmackDown stars that could be set to leave the show.

5. Drew McIntyre

To close WWE SmackDown on November 7, General Manager Nick Aldis made a major declaration — he suspended Drew McIntyre.

Potentially paving the way for McIntyre to exit SmackDown and instead make a return to WWE Raw, it could also be that McIntyre is written off of WWE TV for a specific purpose.

Perhaps intent on taking over the Last Time Is Now tournament in order to get his hands on John Cena, McIntyre could make his way to WWE Raw and make sure he was in line for action.

Going rogue to attack John Cena at one of his final WWE Raw appearances could be an incredible set up for a final showdown with Cena, even if it happened before Cena’s last match.

4. Giulia

After dropping the United States Championship to Chelsea Green on the November 7 edition of SmackDown, Giulia is in need of a switch.

Not utilized as strongly on the main roster as she was in past promotions or on NXT, it could be that uniting Giulia with allies on WWE Raw would make more sense than having her partnered with Kiana James on SmackDown.

Free to have James pick up other clients on SmackDown, Giulia could see herself choosing between continuing down a dark path with the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) or joining IYO SKY in waging war against them.

Able to showcase a unique, hard hitting and fun to watch style that can get lost in the shuffle in WWE at times, swapping Giulia into the rivalry could be the right move.

Randy Orton could potentially benefit from departing WWE SmackDown and heading for Netflix’s WWE Raw.

With Seth Rollins out of action due to injury, there could be a place for The Viper to make a big impact and chase an important and historic goal.

Able to pop up on WWE Raw and become an immediate challenger to CM Punk, Bron Breakker or anyone holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship — it could be that Orton takes a different route to his 15th World title.

Breaking his current tie with Triple H at 14 each to move into third place — behind John Cena and Ric Flair, Orton could have an amazing and unexpected run on Monday nights.

2. Jacob Fatu

With Survivor Series WarGames coming up at the end of the month, fans are hopeful that perhaps Jacob Fatu will be able to make the event.

Out of action at present after having dental surgery, there is some question about whether or not Fatu will be medically cleared ahead of the event where he was reportedly originally set to feature on the babyface team.

While Fatu has been feuding with Drew McIntyre, it could make sense to see him flip over to WWE Raw and align with the Usos to take on The Vision and Brock Lesnar — their presumed rivals for WarGames.

In a compelling foreshadowing of a future showdown between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu, the latter could find himself recruited to the WarGames match but bumped at the last minute with the arrival of Roman Reigns — setting the stage for a future rivalry between them.

1. Motor City Machine Guns

WWE tag team the Motor City Machine Guns

After a long reign by the Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, the WWE World Tag Team Championship recently changed hands.

Being won by the new duo of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, it could be that there are bigger changes coming to the WWE Raw tag team division.

While there are a lot of talented teams over on WWE Raw as well, it could be that the infusion of new competition could do the division a world of good.

Bringing in the Motor City Machine Guns — possibly the return of Matt & Jeff Hardy and the reunion of The Usos in the ring — it could become a very exciting season for tag team wrestling in WWE.
