Ever since making his debut in 2023, Nick Aldis has served as the WWE SmackDown General Manager who has been in charge of everything going on with the roster on Friday nights.
Despite Aldis doing a great job of maintaining control and making rulings, there is also a chance WWE could find a different role for the former two-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
Looking at the other authority figures and those who would work in the role, there might a litany of talent who could become the next GM for the blue brand.
Here are seven potential new WWE SmackDown General Managers.
7. Adam Pearce

Prior to Nick Aldis’ debut in 2023, Adam Pearce played an authority figure role on both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.
Showing how well he takes the pressure of his position, Pearce controlled things across the entire WWE main roster for several years.
While he has primarily kept the same spot as Raw GM since then, Pearce might be the best option to fill the role again if they find something new for Aldis.
Pearce taking on the WWE SmackDown GM position would once again show his ability to balance all the stars on the main roster as an overarching authority figure on both major brands.

6. Ava

Much like Nick Aldis, Ava also made the move to a GM position in 2023 over on the WWE NXT brand.
The daughter of The Rock has shown plenty of poise and decisiveness in her presence as the NXT GM over the past two years.
Whether it be title matches or settling long standing rivalries, Ava has been a voice of reason and authority as the NXT General Manager that will help her make the transition to a similar role on the main roster.
Ava becoming WWE SmackDown General Manager makes a lot of sense and would be a full circle moment considering the show is named after the legendary catchphrase of her father, The Rock.

5. Paige

In March, Saraya announced her exit from All Elite Wrestling following a three year run with the promotion.
After making it no secret she is open to making a return, it feels like only a matter of time before Saraya becomes Paige again in WWE.
While many fans would like to see Paige come back to step into the ring, WWE could still be hesitant to have her be an active in-ring competitor again.
Paige returning to become WWE SmackDown General Manager could lead to a more prominent focus on the women’s division and highlight one of the influential figures of the Women’s Revolution in the process.
