There could be some notable returns coming soon to WWE Raw on Netflix after several top names have been out of action.
From a returning former champion to other stars who departed the company only to return, there could be some very intriguing additions to WWE Raw in the near future.
Here are seven WWE Raw returns that are coming soon.
7. Santos Escobar

One return that is expected soon is that of Santos Escobar who most recently departed WWE SmackDown after his contract expired.
While he would end up re-signing with the company shortly thereafter, he is reportedly set to return on WWE Raw, potentially without Angel and Berto of Los Garza, who have remained in action on SmackDown.
With speculation that Escobar could have a new look and gimmick upon his return, the recent teaser videos shared by WWE showed a well-dressed mystery man, which could fit Escobar’s aesthetics.
Potentially bringing a new spin to his Santos Escobar character, he reportedly has solid creative plans in place for something substantive on WWE Raw.

6. Chris Jericho

With nine-time World Champion Chris Jericho absent from AEW TV since April, there is increasing speculation regarding his future with All Elite Wrestling.
Potentially awaiting the expiration of his contract before a return to WWE, Jericho is said to be contracted to AEW through 2025, but with his deal coming up at the end of the year.
However, if WWE feel assured that a return is coming, it could be worth beginning to tease his arrival now.
With only nine weeks left of 2025, the roll-out of the return of Jericho may have already begun.

5. Austin Theory

One WWE star who has been out of action as of late under curious circumstances is Austin Theory.
While he had long simmering tension with A-Town Down Under tag team partner Grayson Waller, their partnership was quickly dissolved in a backstage segment with Waller reporting to New Day that Theory was injured.
Although he has remained out of WWE in-ring action since mid-July, Theory’s name was recently reported as planned to be in the upcoming heel team led by Seth Rollins at Survivor Series WarGames.
Potentially with his future plans in flux after Seth Rollins got taken out of action due to injury, hopefully there is still a way back onto TV soon for Theory.

4. GUNTHER

An interesting tease just dropped from WWE that could point to the return of GUNTHER.
After the former World Heavyweight Champion lost his title to CM Punk at SummerSlam 2025, he has yet to return with his absence explained as being out of action indefinitely due to injuries sustained in the match. While he did have a legitimate nose issue, he could now be medically cleared for a return.
While the short teaser clip offered no view of anything but a man’s feet and ankles walking, he seems to be smartly dressed: wearing suit trousers and well-shined dress shoes.
There are plenty of viable theories including GUNTHER, but also a main roster debut for Tony D’Angelo or even as a part of a long reveal of the return of Chris Jericho.

3. Brock Lesnar

A name rumored to be set for the men’s WWE Survivor Series WarGames match is Brock Lesnar.
With the heel team reportedly planned originally to feature Lesnar and Austin Theory joining forces with The Vision’s Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, it would seem likely that The Beast may make a WWE Raw return in the lead up to the event.
While Lesnar would certainly be a massive addition to a heel squad, it remains to be seen how he would co-exist with Paul Heyman’s two newest beasts in Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, and whether the plans are even still in place after Rollins’ injury.
Potentially kicking off an intriguing rivalry between Lesnar and Breakker, Survivor Series WarGames could plant a lot of seeds for future feuds in WWE.

2. AJ Lee

While she was successful in defeating the duo of Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins at Wrestlepalooza alongside CM Punk, AJ Lee hasn’t returned to WWE since.
Poised to possibly reappear soon, there has been speculation that Lee could be leading the charge for the latest installment of the women’s WarGames match set for Survivor Series.
With AJ Lee rumored to be on the babyface team along with Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, they have been said to be set to face a heel squad of Becky Lynch, the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane), Nia Jax & NXT’s Lash Legend.
Like to re-appear in advance of the WarGames match to begin recruiting her super team, it would make sense to see AJ Lee return to WWE Raw very soon.

1. John Cena

We actually know exactly what is next for John Cena in WWE in terms of appearances because his final four are locked in.
Making his WWE Raw return on November 10 in Boston, he is scheduled for one more Raw appearance the following week.
Returning to New York City one last time for WWE Raw on November 17, that will be his last Raw appearance with the final two dates set for Survivor Series and then his swansong.
With his final opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 still unknown, the seeds for the match could very well be planted in November on Netflix.
