We are only a few days away from WWE NXT’s debut on The CW.
It is a huge move for the brand as they said goodbye to the USA Network this past Tuesday.
With new shores ahead, Shawn Michaels and WWE are looking to make a huge splash in their new home.
This already involves Giulia having her first title match in WWE, CM Punk being the special guest referee for the NXT Championship match, and an episode of Miz TV.
On top of that, the show is not going to air from the WWE Performance Center, instead, it is emanating from the Allstate Arena in Illinois.
But what else could go down at this historic show? Here are five potential surprises that could be lined up.
5. R-Truth Appears
The Miz is going to host an episode of Miz TV with NXT North American Champion Oba Femi and Tony D’Angelo.
This could also be where we see R-Truth make his return to WWE TV – he could mistake The CW with ECW, or think he is on Raw with The Miz.
Whatever R-Truth does, it obviously ain’t gonna last long with Oba Femi close by.
But it might be the chuckle that Tony D’ Angelo needs to drop his fear about facing Femi, setting him up nicely for their match the following week.

4. Drew McIntyre Replaces CM Punk As The Referee
The ultimate revenge. CM Punk gets knocked over in the Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams title match.
Insert Drew McIntyre, helping Ethan Page to retain his championship.
Massive boos in Chicago and another step in the blood feud of CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
You could argue it could take away from the spotlight of Williams and Page, however, Page would be willing to accept that if it means he remains champion.

3. Andre Chase Returns
Personally, I am dying to see this.
Andre Chase has been absolutely destroyed by Ridge Holland – it is time this man gets his revenge on the man who betrayed Chase U.
If there is one man who avenges his University, it is the man himself: Mr. Chase!
People underestimate the skill that he possesses in the ring, combined with his unparalleled charisma the reaction would be huge if he attacks Ridge during the show in Chicago.

2. Gigi Dolin Gets Involved To Help Zachary Wentz Against Wes Lee
Gigi Dolin hasn’t been featured on WWE TV since April 2024. Her name was brought up during a backstage segment between Wentz and Lee this past Wednesday.
Dolin is the fiancée of Zachary Wentz in real life. This could be the perfect moment to bring her back if she’s ready.
Whether it’s to help Wentz against his former best friend or ultimately lead to his demise, we will see.
One thing is for sure: The Georgian Rose won’t want to sit back and watch her man be brutalised.

1. Stephanie Vaquer Ruins The Women’s Title Match
How surprised were you when Vaquer suddenly showed up on the screen at the WWE NXT Performance Center this past Tuesday?
She definitely has something planned. It is safe to say that Giulia and Roxanne Perez need eyes in the back of their heads for this one.
Roxanne Perez is gonna have trouble looking out for not just one, but two international women’s stars.
Lastly, The CW show is going to be really memorable and Vaquer knows that as much as everyone else. She needs and wants to make an impact.
