WWE Matches To Be Inducted Into Hall Of Fame 2026

With WrestleMania 42 fast approaching, there have yet to be any announcements regarding this year’s “Immortal Moment” induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

While the history of WWE certainly boasts a host of worthy options, there are a few that stand above the rest as potentials to be inducted this year.

Here are six WWE matches that could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.

6. Batista vs. Triple H At WrestleMania 21

Serving as a culmination of the Evolution storyline, Batista capturing victory over Triple H to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21 was a pivotal moment.

Securing Batista’s main event status, the bout served as a launching point for his career.

Since Batista was originally scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020 before COVID-19 shut the world down, perhaps an “Immortal Moment” nod is appropriate in the interim before he gets properly recognized for his career as a whole.

Bringing about his Hollywood star power in 2026, Batista certainly has gone on to reach new heights of fame in his time since leaving WWE but could be recognized for a massive moment in his professional wrestling career.

5. Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon – WWE WrestleMania 10

Amid the host of Shawn Michaels matches that could find themselves being included as an “Immortal Moment” in the WWE Hall of Fame, there is one standout that could go first.

Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon’s WrestleMania 10 Ladder Match classic, served as an emotionally compelling primer to how a match stipulation could add the perfect element to an already intriguing feud.

While not the first ladder match of all time, the match between Michaels and Ramon at WrestleMania 10 arguably provided the blueprint for its use in WWE for years to come.

Serving as a touchstone to recognize the performers but also the unique match type, Shawn vs. Razor deserves a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.

4. Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock – WWE WrestleMania 18

While there are a number of Hulk Hogan matches that could be inducted into the “Immortal Moments” category of the WWE Hall of Fame, perhaps the first of many to come could be from WrestleMania 18.

In what could prove to be a touching tribute to Hulk Hogan at the first WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony since his passing, the match itself calls attention to the unique performances required of WWE superstars.

A testament to the ability of WWE performers to pivot at a moments notice and be flexible to the audience’s feedback, Hogan and Rock demonstrated a characteristic that separates professional wrestling from other live performances or sports.

The match showcases the larger than life personalities utilizing their veteran experience to pivot along with the Toronto crowd, the moment was truly memorable.

Another potential opportunity to incorporate The Rock into an “Immortal Moment” would be to pay homage to his electric feud throughout the Attitude Era with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

While they certainly faced off on numerous occasions, including a trio of WrestleMania bouts at 15, 17 and 19, it may be their second match that is most worthy of acclaim given the ultimate significance to the business.

Building upon the intense rivalry, the audience was fully captivated by the performance throughout, but it was the shocking reveal in the end that made history.

Revealing that he had accepted help from arch nemesis Vince McMahon, Stone Cold Steve Austin would ultimately sell his soul to win back the WWF Championship at the event by turning heel — changing the course of WWE history.

2. The Undertaker vs. Mankind – Hell In A Cell, WWE King Of The Ring 1998

One of the most formative matches in WWE history could be immortalized in the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 from King of the Ring 1998.

While the iconic Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell match is often considered the groundbreaker for the match type, it was actually the third of its kind.

The first Hell in a Cell bout between the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels at Bad Blood the prior year featured the debut of Kane, with the second seeing Taker team with Stone Cold Steve Austin to take on the team of Kane and Mankind on Raw.

Integral to wrestling history, the match was subject to its own episode of Dark Side of the Ring — perhaps the moment may still be recognized despite Mick Foley parting ways with the company.

1. Good Housekeeping Match Between Jeff Jarrett and Chyna For WWE Intercontinental Championship At No Mercy 1999

With the increased focus on the Attitude Era brought about by the special edition of WWE 2K26, there could be an opportunity to honor a unique match.

Putting the Intercontinental Championship on the line at No Mercy 1999, Jeff Jarrett and Chyna engaged in a no disqualifications Good Housekeeping Match.

With a variety of household items around the outside of the ring meant to mock Chyna, Jarrett’s attempt to end Chyna’s dominance failed in the end.

Capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the first time, the trailblazing moment for Chyna could make for a fun addition to the “Immortal Moment” wing of the WWE Hall of Fame.
