From Nikki Bella to Rey Mysterio, we’re now in an era where a Hall of Fame induction doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the end of the WWE star’s in-ring career.

A number of legends have stepped back between the ropes in recent years, whether that be just for one off appearances and Royal Rumble cameos, or for extended runs with the company.

Following recent comments and teases, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding several Hall of Famers who we could see lace up their boots again as we approach the end of 2026.

Here are three legends who we could see make WWE in-ring returns in the coming months.

Brie Bella

Brie Bella returned to the ring earlier this year, with the women’s Royal Rumble being her first match since 2022.

Following a reunion with Nikki Bella and a Women’s Tag Team Championship reign with Paige, Brie suffered a broken scapula (shoulder blade) during six-woman tag-team action at SummerSlam.

Shortly after suffering her injury, Brie Bella stated that she was expected to be out of action for three to six months, meaning that we could see the Hall of Famer step back into the ring in one to four months.

There are a number of avenues open to Brie Bella for her WWE return, perhaps none more significant to her than challenging for the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside her sister, Nikki.

Booker T

Booker T last wrestled for WWE in the 2023 Royal Rumble match. He has since wrestled for his own Reality of Wrestling promotion, with his team defeating Zilla Fatu at Battle to the Bell in January 2025.

WWE US Champion Trick Williams has been pushing for a match against the Booker T, pitching himself as a potential retirement match opponent.

Booker T has addressed the possibility of a return for this match on several occasions, most recently in an interview with Chris Van Vliet which was shared on Thursday, during which he indicated that he’d be willing to put his boots back on to “slap somebody around a little bit”.

With Booker T playing a big role in the NXT presentation of Trick Williams, it’d feel like a full-circle moment to see them standing across the ring from each other.

Trish Stratus

Similarly, Trish Stratus also stated in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet that she’d be open to returning to the ring, if the timing and opportunity were right.

There are a number of WWE stars who would be compelling opponents for Stratus, who also named Rhea Ripley as someone she’d like to share the ring with.

With Blake Monroe also pitching to take out Trish Stratus as part of a female Legend Killer gimmick, the former Women’s Champion wouldn’t be short on options for potential rivals.

Stratus last wrestled at Evolution in July 2025, unsuccessfully challenging for Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship in her third and final in-ring appearance of her WWE 25-year celebrations.
