When WWE puts together its Hall of Fame classes for each year, it has very often honored historic tag teams from throughout the company’s history.
Demolition were given their long-overdue flowers in 2026, with others such as The Natural Disasters and US Express also being inducted in recent years.
While many of the most legendary WWE pairings have been honored, there are also several glaring omissions which could bar rectified in next year’s 2027 class.
Here are some of WWE’s potential tag team inductee plans for the 2027 Hall of Fame class.
The Hardy Boyz
When it comes to iconic tag teams that are not yet in the WWE Hall of Fame, very few stand out as much as The Hardy Boyz.
Matt and Jeff are still going strong in TNA Wrestling in 2026 and WWE’s partnership with the promotion led to the pair making several appearances back in their original home in 2025.
This even led to yet another accolade for The Hardys as they won the NXT Tag Team Titles for the very first time last September. While their run with the belts was short, it did wet fans’ appetite for one last run on the main roster for Matt and Jeff.
While it remains to be seen if that will happen, what seems inevitable is WWE honoring the pair with a spot together in the WWE Hall of Fame; something that could happen as soon as next year.
Brothers of Destruction
The Undertaker and Kane are rightfully both WWE Hall of Famers for their singles careers, but they arguably could go in a second time for their Brothers of Destruction tag team.
Sure, they didn’t wrestle together for years on end – with their most consistent run being in 2001, when they won the WWE World Tag Team Titles twice, as well as the WCW Tag Titles – however, their run was certainly memorable for fans of the Attitude Era.
And when it comes to sheer presence, few teams in history – if any – could match the seven foot tall pairing of ‘The Deadman’ and ‘The Big Red Machine.’
Considering how linked their careers are to one another, seeing them both get their second Hall of Famer rings as a duo would be a fitting moment.
The Rockers
Speaking of multi-time WWE Hall of Fame inductees, Shawn Michaels already has two rings to his name; having been inducted in 2011 on his own, and in 2019 as a part of D-Generation X.
However, there’s one stage of his career that has not yet been recognized: his breakout run as one half of The Rockers alongside Marty Jannetty.
Michaels became one of the all-time greats off the back of his run in The Rockers, and while the team didn’t ever win the WWE World Tag Team Titles, they still stand as a iconic pairing from the golden era of WWE.
Marty Jannetty’s post-WWE controversies have perhaps been a barrier to this happening, or WWE perhaps do not deem them worthy of an induction. However, considering some names – particularly in the celebrity wing – have been far more contentious, not many fans would argue if The Rockers got put in.
