WWE Babyface Turns Coming Soon

With plenty of heels on the WWE roster, it could be that there are several incoming babyface turns as some stars could see the light.

Departing the dark side to become fan favorites is a move that isn’t easy to make but there are several names in WWE who could flip from bad to good in the very near future.

Here are six potential WWE babyface turns that could be coming soon.

6. Drew McIntyre

While Drew McIntyre is presented as a heel in WWE, sometimes it’s easy to agree that he has some valid points when his character rattles off the ways in which he’s been ‘screwed’.

With his character having taken the brunt of several different feuds, it could be that McIntyre’s bitterness begins to trend more towards insubordination than disdain for babyfaces.

Possibly kicking off a very fun feud with Nick Aldis, the duo could even find themselves having an amazing in-ring explosion to tie the entire storyline together.

Since he has a natural connection with fans, McIntyre can certainly ride the line between babyface and heel while remaining a fan favorite.

5. Finn Balor & JD McDonagh

Arguably the most likable characters in the Judgment Day, it could be that the tag team duo of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh find themselves becoming babyfaces soon.

With the faction always teetering on the edge of falling apart, since the return of Liv Morgan it seems that things are more tense than ever.

However, staying entirely out of the drama seems to be Balor and McDonagh, potentially a sign of things to come for the pair.

After being received like a true babyface when making a return to the Performance Center for NXT Homecoming, it could make complete sense to see at least Finn Balor turn babyface sometime in 2026.

4. Rusev

After returning from AEW, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were lauded as returning heroes and presented as babyfaces whereas the re-signings of Rusev and Aleister Black, the pair are portrayed as heels.

Definitely received like a babyface from the WWE crowds, it seems that fans were so thrilled to see the return of Rusev that it becomes easy to forget he’s meant to be a heel.

Potentially looking to shift in the future to being more of a babyface, Rusev is certainly up to the task of making a complete shift or making his own new lane.

Certainly different than the in-between character portrayed by Dominik Mysterio where fans seemingly love to hate him, fans seem to genuinely want to root for Rusev — making him a more compelling babyface overall than heel.

3. Austin Theory

While there is plenty of speculation that Austin Theory could be returning to WWE under a shroud of mystery, in the end — he might not be revealed as having anything to do with the recent mystery attacks.

Potentially returning as a babyface, Theory may actually end up going on an amazing run with fan support given how long he has been away from TV.

With his social media persona being entirely different from his on-screen character, sharing thoughts of positivity and resilience, there could definitely be a path forward for a babyface Theory on WWE Raw.

Able to subvert expectations upon his return, Theory could always be revealed later as being the dastardly force behind the attacks all along — after he endears the WWE audience to him to fully break their hearts, of course.

2. Giulia

One star that could reboot as a babyface on the main roster with a brand switch could be Giulia.

With her partnership with Kiana James having been a bit start-and-stop, perhaps uniting on-screen with IYO SKY might be a simple enough fix.

Able to run alongside Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, Giulia also would have the ability to showcase some of her amazing in-ring skills up against the formidable foes on the WWE Raw roster.

Easily able to recast her as having found new motivation for her time in WWE (or having her turn babyface as a result of an attack by other heels on the roster), there could definitely be some interesting stories in 2026 for Giulia.

1. Kevin Owens

Last seen in action at Elimination Chamber in March, Kevin Owens underwent neck surgery after being pulled from WrestleMania 41.

While his last on-screen appearances were as a heel, there seems to be no way that Owens could return without significant fanfare from WWE crowds who have missed his no nonsense attitude.

Hopefully able to return to some form of an on-screen role in 2026, Owens would make an amazing interim GM or even manager banned from physicality — adding to the tension of his colleagues enraging him.

If he elects to return to in-ring action, WWE fans are certainly going to be so thrilled to see Kevin Owens again that it would make sense that he return as a babyface.
