WWE Clash At The Castle is right around the corner and anticipation is building for the company’s first-ever Premium Live Event on Scottish soil.
As with all other major WWE events, this leads to the question of what surprises WWE has in store for the fans in Glasgow and watching at home all around the world.
International PLEs not only bring hot crowds, but WWE do tend to plan some outside the box surprises that cater to the fans of the host country.
Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico saw the return of Carlito, while Backlash 2024 in France had some blink and you’ll miss it cameos from stars of the French indy-scene involved.
How can WWE make Clash At The Castle the most memorable night possible? Let’s find out.
5. NXT’s Meta-Four Cameo

What would the most Scottish event in WWE history be without the closest wrestler WWE have to Mel Gibson: Noam Dar?
The braveheart of NXT and his stable-mates could be perfectly suited to host the event.
Dar is currently out with a kayfabe injury after his backstage attack from Ethan Page and could make his return on the biggest possible stage.
Although this would only be a cameo appearance for the foursome the fans inside the OVO Hydro would no doubt appreciate seeing another of their most successful exports.
Also Oro Mensah has his roots in the European wrestling scene so there’s a bonus point in favor of this happening.

4. Otis Turns On Master Gable

Scotland is the perfect place to finally make Otis turn on Chad Gable during the Intercontinental Championship match against Sami Zayn.
The Scottish crowd is one of the most passionate crowds you can find and they would give this turn the reaction it deserves.
Chad Gable’s No.1 guy is extremely beloved by the crowd and has been for years. Gable has to find out the hard way when thousands of Scots cheer Otis on and not him.
While the obvious option would be to have Otis turn during the match and cost Gable his title shot, another alternative would be after the bell. Setting up an immediate IC title program between the two heading into Money in the Bank.

3. Joe Hendry Appears

Say his name and he appears. That is what they say right? Since WWE and TNA are working closer together, this has got to happen.
Hendry is apparently scheduled for TNA’s Against All Odds the day before, but who says the impossible can not be made possible?
Obviously, the reason this has been demanded by so many fans is that Joe Hendry has become a bit of a pop-culture phenomenon in recent months.
His entrance theme has stormed the charts as he became a trend on TikTok. Naturally, WWE could not be WWE if they wouldn’t capitalise on the Scotman’s popularity right now.

2. Peter Wright & Gary Anderson Star On The RKOShow

The Professional Darts Cooperation, PDC, and WWE are seemingly working more together. Just recently the biggest sensation in Darts, Luke Littler, visited WWE HQ in Stamford.
By his side: Former Darts World Champion and Scottish Player Peter Wright.
Just later this June he will be teaming up with fellow Scottish Darts legend Gary Anderson to compete in the Darts World Cup.
The perfect opportunity to bring both of them in and promote the event as the guests of Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

1. Becky Lynch Returns

Now I know what you are thinking. Logically this does not make any sense. But trust me, I have never missed a geography lesson.
Becky Lynch is NOT from Scotland but she’s still close enough to home to receive a particularly large welcome back pop.
Lynch is currently not even signed by WWE, and is reportedly set for an ‘extended leave’ from the company – another thing that speaks against her return happening.
But what if WWE and Becky Lynch have us fooled once more and Lynch actually re-signed unbeknownst to the media and fans?
WWE Clash At The Castle is the perfect place to bring her back and insert herself back into the division as a serious threat for all champions.
Liv Morgan is not currently booked to compete at Clash at the Castle, but there’s no reason why an impromptu segment can’t take place, similarly to how AEW brought back MJF at Double or Nothing.
Morgan is noticeably without a clear challenger until Rhea Ripley returns, so having Lynch back is certainly a sooner the better situation for WWE at least.
