On the Countdown Show ahead of WrestleMania 41, WWE announced the company was officially acquiring the Mexican promotion, Lucha Libre AAA.
This acquisition was paired with the announcement of a WWE NXT x AAA Worlds Collide event to take place on Saturday, June 7 from the KIA Forum in Los Angeles.
This upcoming show will mark the beginning of the relationship between the two companies with crossover matches set to take place.
Here are our predictions for the card for the WWE and AAA Worlds Collide show.
Nueva Generación Dinamita (c) vs. Fraxiom – AAA Tag Team Championship
Tag team wrestling is a staple of lucha libre with the tandem action always being an exciting element of every Mexican promotion.
At NXT Stand & Deliver, Hank and Tank defeated Fraxiom to win the NXT Tag Team Championship.
After losing the gold, Nathan Frazer and Axiom should be looking to regain their footing by pursuing new titles and that could come in the form of the AAA Tag Team Championship.
The reigning champions, Nueva Generación Dinamita, recently won the titles in March and could make their WWE debut against what many fans consider the best tag team in the company.

Lady Flammer (c) vs. Zaria – AAA Reina de Reinas Championship
The NXT women’s division has been firing on all cylinders to kick 2025, going from strength to strength.
The AAA Reina de Reinas Championship has been held by many top women’s wrestlers over the past decade from Taya Valkyrie to Deonna Purrazzo.
The title is now held by Lady Flammer who has established a 15 year career in Mexico and has been on a historic run as champion since capturing the title in August 2023.
Looking at the WWE NXT roster, there are so many different options to challenge for the championship, but they might not get better than Zaria who could have a thrilling clash of styles with Flammer.

Oba Femi (c) vs. LA Park – NXT Championship
Since debuting in WWE on the NXT brand, Oba Femi has clearly proven to be “The Ruler” that he has always said he was.
Becoming the longest reigning NXT North American Champion in the title’s history, Femi has been a dominant force unlike anyone who has come before him.
Now holding the NXT Championship, there will be several different AAA talents who will be coming after the gold when World Collide comes around.
LA Park is among the top stars in AAA and would make for a formidable contender to compete against the overpowering Oba when Worlds Collide happens this June.

Alberto El Patron (c) vs. Je’Von Evans – AAA Mega Championship
As soon as WWE acquiring Lucha Libre AAA was announced, many fans questioned the future of current AAA Mega Champion Alberto El Patron.
Once a multi-time WWE World Champion as Alberto Del Rio, El Patron has had many trials and tribulations that led to him becoming “persona non grata” as far as the WWE umbrella.
After several years of WWE saying they wanted nothing to do with Alberto, he might be included in this upcoming Worlds Collide premium live event just to see him lose the top prize in AAA.
Je’Von Evans has quickly become one of the biggest male stars on WWE NXT and should be considered a top contender to challenge for the AAA Mega Championship against the former Alberto Del Rio when this show comes around.

Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Chik Tormenta – NXT Women’s Championship
While there were some questions on her status when it comes to Lucha Libre AAA, NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer was one of the Latin American stars who appeared as part of the announcement that took place before WrestleMania 41.
Vaquer has become one of the most exciting stars on the NXT brand and should be a featured act on this Worlds Collide show.
Looking at the current crop of AAA female talent, Chik Tormenta has been one of the most prominently female stars and is a former AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion.
Despite never winning the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship, Tormenta could win her first major singles gold by challenging “La Primera” at Worlds Collide.

El Grande Americano & American Made vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo & Lucha Bros
After making the announcement of WWE buying Lucha Libre AAA, WrestleMania 41 set up an angle that could be followed up on at the June 7 Worlds Collide event.
Ahead of his match against Rey Fenix on Mania night one, El Grande Americano got into a confrontation with AAA top star El Hijo Del Vikingo. Then after the match, Vikingo helped Fenix to his feet.
This could lead to all three men being involved in a major match at the Worlds Collide event to make up a huge trios bout.
With Americano being joined by American Made’s Creed Brothers, Vikingo can team with both Fenix and his brother Penta in a very fun encounter that could potentially headline the PLE from the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, California.
