With 2026 now here, TNA Wrestling is set to start a whole new era with Thursday Night Impact about to premiere on AMC on January 15.
The company will likely be making some changes to their roster, with stars being added and some others leaving the promotion.
Looking at the current landscape, there might be quite a few notable names that could be on their way out of TNA in the weeks and months to come.
Here are seven TNA Wrestling stars to potentially leave the company.
7. Leon Slater

At the December 13 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defeated WWE NXT’s Je’Von Evans and TNA’s Leon Slater.
This was Slater’s first appearance on the WWE main roster, but he has competed on NXT several times.
“The Young OG” recently defeated Myles Borne, Joe Hendry and Dion Lennox in a four-way match to become the number one contender for Oba Femi’s NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil.
Despite being the reigning X-Division Champion, it feels like Slater is being groomed to be signed by WWE whenever his TNA Wrestling contract expires in 2026.

6. Cedric Alexander

In the summer of 2025, Cedric Alexander debuted in TNA Wrestling and has been competing in the company ever since.
The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion was released from the company back in February, with many fans believing he would head to All Elite Wrestling to reunite with The Hurt Syndicate.
However, Alexander has remained with TNA Wrestling and continues to work actively for the promotion.
Alexander leaving TNA could finally lead to him joining forces with his former Hurt Business stablemates MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley in All Elite Wrestling.

5. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jess McKay)

The IInspiration returned to TNA Wrestling after a three-year absence in June 2025.
Immediately thrusting themselves into the Knockouts tag team scene, Cassie Lee and Jess McKay eventually defeated The Elegance Brand to become the new TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions in October.
It was recently revealed that The IInspiration are currently working without a TNA contract for the promotion.
With this in mind, WWE should swoop in to offer the duo a new deal to bring The IIconics back to the Women’s Tag Team Championship scene in 2026.

4. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed)

The Rascalz have been a mainstay of TNA Wrestling since signing with the promotion back in 2018.
Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz have firmly established themselves as one of the best tag teams that TNA has to offer, but they most recently added their original Rascalz stablemate Myron Reed to the group.
With all three men not having an active contract in 2026, fans could see this stable make another promotion their home.
The Rascalz leaving TNA Wrestling could see them return to WWE or even make their way to All Elite Wrestling where their styles may fit in even better.

3. Steve Maclin

Signing with TNA Wrestling in 2021, Steve Maclin immediately made his mark and looked to solidify himself as one of the main event stars in the company.
Over the course of the past four years, Maclin won the TNA World Championship and is also the first ever TNA International Champion as well.
With years of experience dating back to his time in WWE, it feels like Maclin could be a highly sought after free agent when he becomes a free agent in 2026.
Considering his contract is reportedly set to expire, Maclin could leave TNA and join his wife Deonna Purrazzo in AEW/ROH in the new year.

2. Mustafa Ali

In 2024, Mustafa Ali made his TNA Wrestling debut and has firmly established himself as one of the prominent stars on the roster.
The former TNA X-Division Champion recently challenged Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship at WWE NXT Showdown in October.
This performance caught the eye of many within both WWE and TNA Wrestling, which could open the door for a possible return to the company.
After his success in TNA, Ali might feel like it is the right time to explore his options elsewhere whether it be back in WWE or for another major promotion out there.

1. Mike Santana

2025 has been the biggest and best year of Mike Santana’s career, reaching the apex of TNA Wrestling.
Santana was able to achieve his dream when he defeated Trick Williams to win the TNA World Title at Bound For Glory 2025.
However, Santana quickly lost the title to Frankie Kazarian just one month later to the disappointment of many fans.
Considering his contract is also expiring at the end of the year, Santana could capitalize on the first impression he gave in his few appearances for WWE and sign with the company to become a top star for NXT in 2026.
