In January 2025, WWE announced a multi-year partnership with TNA Wrestling – formalizing a relationship that had, for the past year, seen wrestlers from both companies appear on each other’s programming.

While beneficial for the smaller promotion – whose ticket sales have risen since the partnership began – WWE clearly holds the upper hand and seems intent on signing the acts they continue to feature.

Jordynne Grace is one such example: the standout female star was allowed to sign with WWE despite still being under contract with TNA.

Here are seven TNA stars whose signing with WWE might be just around the corner.

7. Ace Austin

Ace Austin was one half of TNA’s most dynamic – and one of pro-wrestling’s most criminally underrated – tag teams, ABC, until a tragic in-ring accident sidelined partner Chris Bey last October.

Prior to their tag team run, Austin had already made his name in the X-Division, delivering standout performances thanks to his blend of athleticism and creativity.

At just 28, Austin is a gifted performer – charismatic, polished, and long underutilized by TNA.

A move to WWE NXT could finally give him the platform he needs to fulfil his considerable potential.

6. Tessa Blanchard

Tessa Blanchard recently made her high-profile return to TNA, where she had once made history as the first woman to hold the company’s male World Championship.

Now 29, she has spent recent years wrestling in Mexico’s premier lucha libre promotion CMLL, rebuilding her career outside of the US following serious allegations regarding her behaviour towards other wrestlers.

Since returning, she has reminded fans of her world-class talent, most notably in a show-stealing match with Jordynne Grace at TNA’s Genesis pay-per-view.

The question now is whether WWE is willing to overlook her past and give her a chance on the biggest stage.

5. Leon Slater

TNA’s 20-year-old British sensation Leon Slater is fast becoming one of the most talked-about names in wrestling.

Now aligned with The Hardys, he stole the show at Sacrifice with a jaw-dropping 450 Swanton off the top of a cage in a ten-man main event.

Beyond TNA, he impressed over WrestleMania weekend with four standout indie matches before flying home to main event for the UK’s top promotion RevPro – a showcase of both his drive and star power.

Longtime TNA main eventer Moose turned heads earlier this year with several appearances on NXT – first defending his X-Division Title against Lexis King, then challenging NXT Champion Oba Femi.

A former NFL offensive lineman, Moose has been with TNA since 2016, capturing the World Championship twice and consistently delivering in marquee matches.

Now 41, he blends charisma, presence, and consistent in-ring performance – especially evident during his impressive reinvention in the pandemic era.

With his profile rising, Moose looks more than ready to finally make the leap to WWE.

Across WrestleMania weekend, she wrestled nine matches – including a standout bout with Miyu Watanabe at Tokyo Joshi Pro – showcasing her unmatched aggression and in-ring stamina.

Her style and presence would be a perfect fit for WWE NXT’s already strong women’s division.

With a title defence against Tessa Blanchard set for Rebellion on April 27, her time in TNA may be nearing its end.

The Hardy Boys thrilled WWE fans earlier this year, appearing on NXT programming for a dream match against Fraxiom.

As a tag team they remain ever-popular, and their return to TNA last year helped to boost the company’s ticket sales.

With a legendary career featuring multiple WWE Tag Team Championships and revolutionary ladder matches, Matt and Jeff continue to bring both nostalgia and credibility.

1. Joe Hendry

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry’s surprise WrestleMania match against Randy Orton produced one of the biggest pops of the weekend.

Despite the short match – he was pinned in three minutes, suffering two RKOs – Hendry’s charisma and fan connection were undeniable.

The Scottish star has built momentum all year, from his Royal Rumble and NXT appearances to the viral entrance video that have made him a cult favourite.

With WWE fans clearly behind him, and his popularity peaking, it feels like it’s no longer a matter of if WWE signs Hendry – but when.
