The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in AEW

With this in mind, there are a bevy of possible pairings that The Bucks could face in their final AEW match.

Here are five potential Young Bucks final AEW opponents.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler)

AEW's FTR and Big Stoke

When Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler first arrived in All Elite Wrestling in 2020, they immediately went face-to-face with The Young Bucks.

Over the course of the past six years, FTR and The Bucks have become the premier tag team feud in the company.

Trading the AEW World Tag Team Titles snd putting a litany of classic matches, all four men have elevated the entire tag team scene for the promotion along the way.

If The Bucks decide to hang up their boots, Matt and Nick Jackson should do battle with FTR one last time.

Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland)

At AEW All In London 2026, Cage and Cope defeated The Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Heading into the Wembley Stadium show, this bout was billed as a dream match between two generational duos.

However, Cage and Cope cheated to get the win and led to a three-way ladder match with FTR coming up at AEW All Out 2026.

Wanting to close out their career against a pairing they always looked up to, The Bucks could close things out against Christian Cage and Adam Copeland next year.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)

In July, The Motor City Machine Guns arrived and announced they had signed with AEW.

Then, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley were part of all the iconic duos who were in the ring at AEW All In London 2026.

When Matt and Nick Jackson were first getting their start in the industry, it was The Motor City Machine Guns who helped put them on the map in TNA Wrestling.

Now that both of their legacies are cemented, The Bucks could retire against The Guns in AEW.

The New Level (Kofi & Austin Creed)

There is no doubt that the fans want to see The Young Bucks battle The New Level now that they are in All Elite Wrestling.

For years, Kofi, Austin Creed, Matt and Nick Jackson have all discussed and teased a potential dream match between these legendary pairings.

Now that The New Level are in AEW, there should be nothing stopping a showdown with The Bucks.

To close out their careers, The Young Bucks would be hard-pressed to find better opponents than The New Level.

Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page

All Elite Wrestling was built off the back of the members of The Elite.

Back at AEW Revolution 2020, The Elite imploded when Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page defeated The Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

Since then, fans fondly remember this bout as one of the greatest in the history of the company.

Having four members of The Elite in the ring at once, it feels like the perfect opponents for The Bucks would be Hangman and Omega one more time.
