With plenty of shifts seemingly on the horizon in WWE, there could be some popular tag teams set to split up in 2026.

From those who may part ways to different brands to others that could be feuding with one another in the new year, there are some interesting match-ups that could be set for the near future.

Here are five WWE tag teams that could be splitting up soon.

5. DIY

With some discussion that Tommaso Ciampa could be departing WWE at the end of his current contract, it would seem that the partnership between he and Johnny Gargano is set to expire as well.

Since Gargano shows no particular sign of slowing down in WWE, it could be that without Ciampa there is new life for Johnny Wrestling and his wife Candice LeRae.

With the future moves unknown for Ciampa, there could certainly be an ending between DIY before his departure.

Another vicious attack on Gargano on the way out – harkening back to their NXT days – could end up turning Gargano and LeRae babyface yet again.

4. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

With brand new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions crowned on the Janaury 5 edition of Raw, there could be a new tone in the division.

Now that Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY reign supreme in the women’s tag team division, there will be plenty of opponents headed their direction – including potentially Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.

While the pair remain united as 2026 kicks off, it would seem that their road to a split could come sometime ahead of WrestleMania 42.

With the pair able to have a legendary match against one another in Las Vegas, it could be that this tag team is just as spectacular in their split as they’ve been in their partnership.

3. AJ Styles & Dragon Lee

After dropping the World Tag Team Championship to the Usos on a recent edition of WWE Raw, it does seem as though that AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will be parting ways.

With a backstage segment positioning Dragon Lee as affiliated again with Rey Mysterio as well as Penta plus AJ Styles potentially embroiled in a new feud with GUNTHER, there doesn’t really need to be any big break-up between the pair.

Able to part ways amicably, the unexpectedly fun duo can continue their own journeys without a lot of consideration for their past as tag champs.

While their reign was enjoyable, it didn’t seem particularly destined to last the long haul.

2. Fraxiom

After two NXT Tag Team Title reigns, the duo of Fraxiom have so far failed to capture titles on the WWE main roster and could be headed for a future collapse.

With the pair of Nathan Frazer and Axiom able to go their separate ways and definitely have successful singles careers, a split in 2026 might make total sense.

Unlike other tag teams that are poised to turn on one another, the team of Fraxiom could subvert expectations and end up remaining allied.

Splitting across brands or potentially just exploring their singles goals separately, the duo could remain friendly even if their tag team goes dormant.

1. Judgment Day

One group that has continued to teeter on the edge of collapse has been the Judgment Day, but since the return of Liv Morgan, the group remains in an interesting spot.

With the very possible likelihood that there will be a split within the group soon, it isn’t entirely clear where loyalties will lie.

Since Dominik Mysterio may be out of action for a spell due to a legitimate shoulder injury, there could be an opportunity for Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to cause a permanent rift within the group.

With plenty of storylines of potential quiet betrayal yet to be revealed, the group could be poised to fall apart on the road to WWE WrestleMania 42.
