AAA TripleMania XXXIII marks an important event for the Mexican promotion as it will be the first under the WWE ownership since the sale went through.
On Saturday, August 16, stars from both Lucha Libre AAA and WWE will compete in Mexico City with championship gold on the line and personal rivalries to conclude.
The results of this show will dramatically alter the course of the future of AAA moving forward and come with a multitude of different stories to explore in the near future.
Here are our potential spoilers for the AAA TripleMania XXXIII results.
AAA World Tag Team Championship Street Fight: Los Garza (Angel & Berto) (c) vs. Psycho Clown & Pagano
At AAA TripleMania Regia III, Los Garza defeated Nueva Generación Dinamita, The Nemeth Brothers and Psycho Clown & Pagano to win the AAA World Tag Team Championship.
This marked the second win for Angel and Berto over Psycho Clown and Pagano after their trios win with Santos Escobar at WWE and AAA Worlds Collide.
Then, Clown made his WWE main roster debut when he teamed with Mr Iguana in a loss to Los Garza for the AAA World Tag Team Championship.
For their big event in Mexico City, Psycho will have one more opportunity with Pagano for the gold with Street Fight rules.
Considering their collective history in some of the bloodiest brawls in AAA history, Psycho and Pagano might have their best chance to bring the titles back to the home promotion under these circumstances.
However, Santos Escobar could give Los Garza a bit of a numbers advantage to pick up the victory to retain the AAA World Tag Team Title on August 16.
Prediction: Los Garza

Copa Bardahl Match
On August 12, WWE announced the Copa Bardahl Match was being added to the card for AAA TripleMania XXXIII.
Copa Bardahl is a petroleum brand that sponsors this annual battle royal to determine the new holder of the Bardahl Cup.
The match is described to be akin to the Royal Rumble Match with timed intervals between competitors coming out, but eliminations occur by pinfall.
The winner of the Copa Bardahl Match will receive the Bardahl Cup and join past winners like Pimpinela Escarlata and Octagon Jr.
This feels like a good spot to put a focus on Sam Adonis who has emerged as one of the American stars for Lucha Libre AAA and a top heel that has translated well in Mexico for years.
Adonis’ brother Corey Graves will be calling the action at AAA TripleMania alongside JBL.
Prediction: Sam Adonis

Latin American Championship: El Mesias (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
The Latin American Championship will be up for grabs when El Mesias defends against El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr.
This rivalry has seen these two competitors face each other in four-ways and multi-man matches, but Mesias and Dr Wagner III have not gone one-on-one.
Since arriving in Lucha Libre AAA, Dr. Wagner III has been seen as someone who could be launched to the upper echelon of the company following his decorated past in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH.
Meanwhile, Mesias has been part of the lead heel faction in AAA, El Ojo and is coming off the heels of a huge victory where he exiled Alberto El Patron from the company.
With the help of his stablemates, Mesias could have a significant advantage that might lead to him coasting to a successful defense.
Dr. Wagner III feels like someone that this new regime of AAA under the WWE banner to be one of the faces of Lucha Libre for the promotion and win gold at TripleMania XXXIII.
Prediction: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

Six-Person Tag Team Match: Niño Hamburguesa, Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh & Raquel Rodriguez)
In a social media post, Dominik Mysterio suggested to his Judgment Day stablemates that they join him in Lucha Libre AAA when he goes over for TripleMania XXXIII.
Bringing a trio of Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Raquel Rodriguez, the WWE stars will face two of Lucha Libre AAA’s most popular stars, Mr Iguana and Niño Hamburguesa.
Joining the two Mexican talent, WWE NXT’s Lola Vice returns to AAA after her recent success in the company to face The Judgment Day.
Seeing The Judgment Day in a different setting will show fans just how well these stars mesh together, while placing them firmly as the heels in this trios bout.
While Iguana, Hamburguesa and Vice are going to have the fans on their side, The Judgment Day might be able to take the victory here.
Prediction: The Judgment Day
AAA Mega Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio
On the July 25 edition of AAA Alianzas, Dominik Mysterio made a surprise debut appearance in Lucha Libre AAA to attack El Hijo del Vikingo.
After receiving one of the biggest pops heard in Mexico in a long time, Mysterio made his claims to a shot at the AAA Mega Championship.
While “Dirty Dom” was laying out Vikingo, El Grande Americano beat down Dragon Lee at ringside just minutes after Lee seemed to issue a challenge for the top prize in AAA.
This has set the stage for a four-way match with three WWE stars trying to take the AAA Mega Championship from Vikingo.
Recent reports have indicated that Mysterio has been discussed to be a future AAA Mega Champion after the reaction he received for his debut.
Americano has translated well to Mexico following his debut match in AAA, while Lee could stand out even more with a strong performance at TripleMania.
Despite wanting to keep Vikingo looking strong, there is a way for AAA to put the gold on “Dirty Dom” who could give more exposure to the title by becoming a double champion who can show it off on Netflix every Monday.
Prediction: Dominik Mysterio
