While Season Two of WWE Unreal is set to feature Seth Rollins’ previous faux injury, the former WWE Heavyweight Champion is currently out of action.

However, with the potential to be returning to in-ring competition in 2026 likely — there are some intriguing ways he may rejoin the fold in the coming months.

Here are five potential return plans for Seth Rollins in WWE.

5. Rejoin The Vision

In what could be a very Visionary move, Seth Rollins could make his return and re-join The Vision.

Able to spin the narrative as Bron Breakker’s attack being a move that Rollins can respect, it would likely be that he was returning yet still targeting Paul Heyman.

With Heyman cast as the head of the snake, it might be that Seth Rollins returns to initially play nice with his former faction in order to spell their end in the near future.

Going on to set up what could be an epic battle between Rollins and Heyman (who could be associated with Brock Lesnar, CM Punk or Roman Reigns again by this point), there could be some very fun stories ahead.

4. Austin Theory’s Spymaster

One way that Seth Rollins could return is to be coupled with an entirely different reveal — that Austin Theory had been an operative for The Visionary all along.

With Theory having joined the group after Rollins’ departure, there is a solid case to be made as to why it could very well be a set-up from the beginning.

Theory joining the The Vision being orchestrated by Rollins could continue their alliance together when the former WWE Heavyweight Champion returns to action.

Potentially spelling a future rivalry between Theory and any of his former faction mates, there could be a big babyface turn up ahead for both Theory and Rollins.

3. Cost AJ Lee the Intercontinental Championship

Now that Becky Lynch has bested Maxxine Dupri seemingly once and for all, there could be a new big feud headed her way.

With most fans anticipating the return of AJ Lee to WWE action at some point on the Road to WrestleMania 42, it could be that she is headed for a singles feud with Lynch.

Since the ladies’ respective husbands were involved in their last fracas, this time around the feud could be centered specifically on Lynch and Lee but with a surprise twist ending.

If it was Seth Rollins who made his return to WWE not to benefit himself but to rather to secure Becky Lynch’s victory, Rollins’ undying feud with CM Punk could find a brand new flashpoint.

2. Surprise Entrant In Royal Rumble

A potential return plan for Seth Rollins could be as simple as making his in-ring return as a surprise entrant into the Royal Rumble 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

While this timeline sounds a bit premature, there could always be some sort of appearance in the Royal Rumble that ends up not having a lot of physicality.

With Rollins himself having noted a general wellness plan of flipping to a strict diet ahead of WrestleMania 42 season, it seems that the Visionary is expecting to return to action in the near future.

In what could prove to be a shocking return to action, Rollins could certainly see his character rebooted into a babyface based on circumstance — only to commit some heinous betrayal thereafter that cements his heel status yet again.

1. Betray Roman Reigns, again

One of the most storied rivalries in WWE, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have plenty of bad blood between them.

However, since this is The Visionary — he could potentially seek to make the enemy of his enemy his friend and attempt to appeal to Roman Reigns.

With Reigns having seemingly turned his focus back towards his ire for Cody Rhodes, it could be that if it really is set to be Reigns vs. Rhodes for WrestleMania 42, Rollins could try and be in Reigns’ corner.

Returning as a babyface and weaseling his way into Reigns’ heart again, of course it would only end one way. Absolutely ending in a dastardly betrayal that would kick-off their anticipated future feud with a fresh spark could end up being a great deal of fun.
