Being almost three months removed from shoulder surgery, it remains unclear when we can expect to see Seth Rollins return to WWE programming.
Whenever Rollins’ return does happen however, fans will be expecting some major storyline development given the dramatic way he was written off TV back in October.
From kicking up new feuds with old rivals, to shock reveals that could end up sending storylines in a lot of fascinating directions — we’ve predicted some ways The Visionary could return to action.
Here are five potential return plans for Seth Rollins in WWE.
5. Austin Theory Reveal

While Austin Theory was revealed as the masked man that has been assisting The Vision this week on Raw, his true purpose in the group has not yet been revealed.
Regardless of what storylines ensue from here forward, by the time Seth Rollins returns from injury there could be a new narrative introduced.
If it were Seth Rollins directing Austin Theory’s actions throughout, it would be fascinating to see a dramatic reveal of Theory aligning with Rollins and turning his back on Paul Heyman and company.
Having been a secret operative all along, a babyface turn for both Rollins and Theory would make for an unexpected, but welcome twist.

4. Ruin WrestleMania 42 Night One’s Main Event

It would be an amazing move from WWE to have Seth Rollins return at WrestleMania 42 Saturday, only to absolutely destroy the main event of the night.
Whether it be CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker, CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns or otherwise, Rollins showing up and disrupting the World Heavyweight Championship match would make for a dramatic moment, while also establishing Rollins’ intentions beyond the “Grandest Stage of Them All”.
Rollins has several potential targets, and his heel/babyface leanings are not yet guaranteed, allowing for several different possibilities.
A true wildcard, Rollins could provide the biggest talking point of the entire weekend should he return as the ultimate disrupter.

3. Retribution Against Bron Breakker

Looking for revenge, Seth Rollins could return to WWE and be immediately target Bron Breakker.
After it was his apparent protege Breakker that led the rebellion against the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Rollins would be justified in returning with a major vendetta.
Whether he was destroying Breakker’s opportunity in a big moment or simply attacking him, there could be a delightful future feud between the pair.
Setting up a major future showdown between The Visionary and the heir apparent to The Vision faction would be an amazing way for Seth Rollins to return to WWE.

2. New Vision Faction

Potentially offended at how his original vision has been corrupted, it could be that “The Visionary” Seth Rollins seeks to create a new group for the future.
Bringing together a brand new collection of stars, it could make for a compelling angle to see him choose to align with talent completely opposite to those that betrayed him.
Potentially returning alongside the likes Nathan Frazer & Axiom or Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater, it could be that Rollins puts together a brand new dangerous squad.
With speed and power, the group would be an amazing set of foes for the latest iteration of The Vision in Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Logan Paul.

1. Emissary Of The Final Boss

While Seth Rollins is certainly set to return with his own set of powerful goals, it could be that his movements in his initial return end up being highly calculated.
Being presented as a returning babyface hero, Rollins could end up tangling with several big names in WWE before it was eventually unfurled what he had been up to all along.
Regardless of who he seeks to target or how, it could be revealed that Seth Rollins’ return feuds are being orchestrated by “The Final Boss” The Rock all along.
With Rollins and Rock having no share of bad blood, it would be an amazing moment to reveal not only had Rollins aligned with “The Final Boss” (seemingly ‘selling his soul’ in similar fashion to John Cena), but also filtering all of his actions through that lens could shock the audience.
