Roman Reigns has once again taken a hiatus from WWE programming, with “The OTC” filming his role in the 2026 live action Street Fighter movie.
The 40-year-old was written off television at Clash in Paris in August after a brutal beatdown from Vision members Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
It’s clear that when he returns he’ll be out for revenge — but the question is when that return will be, and what WWE’s immediate plans are for their top star.
5. Roman Reigns Appears at WWE Wrestlepalooza
While Roman Reigns is not currently scheduled for Wrestlepalooza, could he still make a surprise appearance?
One of the featured bouts sees the reunited Usos take on The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
In storyline terms, this is the perfect chance for Reigns to make a save for his cousins and extract some revenge on those who put him out of action.
Outside of storyline, given Wrestlepalooza’s importance as WWE’s first PLE on ESPN’s new streaming platform — and TKO’s stated aim of making it “another WrestleMania” — it wouldn’t be a shock to see their biggest active star show up.

4. Roman Reigns Reforms The Bloodline with The Usos
When Roman Reigns does return — whether at Wrestlepalooza or later — it seems certain he’ll go after The Vision, having now been taken out multiple times by Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
To fight WWE’s top faction, we could very well see the revival of the faction that changed the company’s trajectory in recent years: The Bloodline.
Reigns would almost certainly reunite with The Usos to even the odds.
Such a feud promises standout trios clashes, harking back to the days when Reigns and Rollins teamed with Jon Moxley as The Shield in their classic battles with The Wyatt Family.

3. Roman Reigns Challenges The Vision To WarGames Match
A faction vs. faction war between The Bloodline and The Vision could be on the horizon once Roman Reigns returns.
With WWE’s Survivor Series in November taking place in a stadium for the first time, and WarGames now an annual fixture, this feud feels tailor-made for the cage.
WarGames traditionally features at least eight participants in a four-on-four contest, meaning both sides would need a further person.
CM Punk, given his long-running issues with Rollins and The Vision, could easily side with The Bloodline — leaving the question of who The Vision might recruit for their side.

2. Roman Reigns Declares For The Royal Rumble
Another possible plan for Roman Reigns’ return could see him declare for the Royal Rumble.
This would open the door for the 40-year-old to win the match for a second time and go on to challenge for a title at WrestleMania.
That could mean a long-awaited rematch with Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship he never received.
While not outside the realm of possibility, it doesn’t feel like the most likely scenario for Reigns’ WrestleMania bout in 2026.

1. Roman Reigns Battles Bron Breakker At WrestleMania
Much of the speculation around Roman Reigns’ future plans centres on a potential WrestleMania showdown with The Vision’s Bron Breakker.
The bout has already been teased through Reigns’ ongoing rivalry with Rollins’ faction.
WWE clearly views Breakker as a future top star, and his first WrestleMania main event could very well come in 2026 against Reigns.
The big question is whether this would be a passing of the torch moment — with Reigns taking the fall — or if it’s still too soon given Reigns remains the company’s biggest star.
