After retaining the WWE NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil, Oba Femi relinquished the title as he is main roster bound.
Looking at the potential list of foes for Femi on the main roster for the upcoming WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, there are several intriguing names that pop out as having high potential.
Here are six potential WWE WrestleMania 42 opponents for Oba Femi.
6. Bron Breakker
After retaining the NXT Championship against Leon Slater at New Year’s Evil, Oba Femi would end up leaving the title behind and vacating the championship.
Possibly set to tangle with The Vision as a brand new babyface on the main roster, Oba Femi could be headed for a showdown with Bron Breakker.
With another viable candidate being Big Bronson Reed, there could always be some sort of tag team effort that sees Oba Femi teaming up with another roster member to take on The Vision in tag team or trios action.
With both LA Knight and Rey Mysterio having axes to grind with the faction, perhaps there could be a brand new alliance set to take on the group in Las Vegas.

5. Drew McIntyre
Arguably the most solid choice for Oba Femi’s opponent at WrestleMania 42 is Drew McIntyre.
With the foundation for the conflict already laid when McIntyre interrupted Femi’s big match against Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the pair of towering stars could have a literally massive match.
Whether or not their feud is over a championship remains to be seen with McIntyre still poised to challenge Rhodes for the WWE Title in a Three Stages of Hell match on the January 9 edition of SmackDown – regardless, the impact could be long lasting.
Introducing Oba Femi to the WrestleMania stage to take on a veteran like Drew McIntyre could be an amazing use of the young talent who seems poised to do big things in WWE.

4. Brock Lesnar
Setting up two of WWE’s biggest monsters against one another for WrestleMania 42, an amazing opponent for Oba Femi might be Brock Lesnar.
In what could potentially be one of his final appearances at WrestleMania – if retirement rumors persist – it could be a major passing of the torch moment for Femi to face off against Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
Even if Femi wouldn’t win this particular battle, there could be a future to be revisited between the two with Oba Femi potentially winning the overall war.
With a variety of legendary talent potentially on their way out of the company with up and comers looking to establish themselves, there could be some generational battles on deck for Las Vegas.

3. Solo Sikoa
One interesting opponent for Oba Femi at WWE WrestleMania 42 could be Solo Sikoa.
With Oba Femi effectively having to prove himself on the main roster by immediately going through a crucible of the MFTs, he could finally face off against Sikoa for the first time at WrestleMania.
Sikoa was previously touted as a potential next major star on the main roster, a designation that he could be keen to protect in Las Vegas.
Setting up a rivalry that could certainly continue across time and turns of character – with both being quite compelling as babyfaces or heels – this WrestleMania meeting could be the first of many for the pair.

2. Cody Rhodes
If Oba Femi were to win the 2026 Royal Rumble, there could certainly be a direct path for him to capture a rematch against Cody Rhodes.
After their match at Saturday Night’s Main Event ended in a no contest when it was disrupted by Drew McIntyre, the duo have yet to conclude which man is the winner.
Able to revisit their bout on the ‘Grandest Stage of them All’, Oba Femi’s debut appearance at WrestleMania could end up being to take on the Undisputed WWE Champion.
Remaining strong even in defeat, Femi could certainly put on such an impressive showing in his first major feud on the main roster that the outcome of his first Mania appearance gets lost to time as his career has just gotten started.

1. LA Knight
With LA Knight’s future feud ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42 potentially uncertain, it could be that the Megastar ends up taking a turn to the dark side.
If Knight were to turn heel or Femi were to end up being presented as a heel upon his proper main roster debut, there could be a battle between the two fan favorites in Las Vegas.
Marking an interesting battle, the pair could be equally matched both on the mic and in the ring, poised to make some big moments ahead of the big event.
While the duo could be feuding over a title – particularly with the future of the Intercontienntal Championship uncertain in the setting of Dirty Dominik Mysterio’s recent shoulder injury – there wouldn’t need to be a championship involved in order for there to be a fun WrestleMania debut for Femi against Knight.
