After making a big impression at the Saturday Night’s Main Event that hosted John Cena’s final bout, there could be big plans still ahead for Oba Femi.
From settling scores that kicked off on the night to starting brand new rivalries on the blue brand, there could be an easy route for Oba Femi to be called up to the main roster.
Here are 5 potential WWE SmackDown plans for Oba Femi after Saturday Night’s Main Event.
5. Picks Fight With Drew McIntyre
Adding another element to the on-going rivalry between McIntyre and Cody Rhodes, Oba Femi could end up proving to be a volatile addition.
With legitimate complaint against McIntyre for having interrupted his big opportunity on the main roster against the Undisputed WWE Champion, Femi could be looking for revenge.
Also no stranger to confronting Cody Rhodes directly, Femi choosing to target Drew would be less about helping Cody and more about getting back at McIntyre.
Possibly still leading to another confrontation with Rhodes, there could be a lot of interest in how the story unfolds moving forward and looking ahead at the Royal Rumble.

4. Declare For Royal Rumble 2026
One thing that Oba Femi could pop back up at SmackDown to do after his star making appearance at Saturday Night’s Main Event would be his very own announcement.
Declaring himself as the first entrant in the Royal Rumble 2026, perhaps Femi would look to immediately establish dominance that could extend beyond his current reach on NXT.
While he wouldn’t have to be entering at number one in the over the top rope battle royal, he could certainly bet on himself and make the bold proclamation.
With a seemingly stacked field moving into 2026, it will be thrilling to see who ends up popping up at the first ever Royal Rumble being held outside of North America on January 31.

3. Another Match With Cody Rhodes
After his match against Cody Rhodes was interrupted by Drew McIntyre, it could be that Femi isn’t done with Rhodes just yet.
With the pair having a fiery confrontation on the SmackDown ahead of the event, it could be that there is another face-to-face coming in the future.
Given Oba Femi’s status on the NXT roster, he could certainly be poised to be called up to SmackDown in the near future — a path that could go through a rivalry with Cody.
Ponteitally seeing his bout against Rhodes interrupted yet again by McIntyre or even a new interloper in Brock Lesnar, there could be a fascinating showdown between The Ruler and The Beast.

2. Meet Brock Lesnar
With Oba Femi being the resident beast of NXT, it would be fascinating to see him interact with the WWE main roster’s most frightening character.
Potentially eyeing retirement in 2026, Brock Lesnar could definitely find himself tangling with some NXT talent on the road to his own farewell.
No match might be more intriguing than to see Brock Lesnar and the NXT Champion Oba Femi facing off in an all out war, showcasing some of the best that the future has to offer in WWE.
While there are still plenty of stories for Brock to tell with the likes of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns — if he is poised to drive a tractor off into the sunset soon, hopefully he has a few bouts against some up and coming talent along the way.

1. Challenge Omos
While Omos has returned to his general action in WWE, he has yet to make a big return to TV beyond an impressive appearance in AAA.
Potentially able to make some more viral moments on the main roster, there could be a quite literally enormous match coming between the two big men from NXT.
With Omos and Oba Femi both cutting impressive figures, their showdown could come with emotional stakes or simply be more of a test of strength between competitors.
Given Omos’ online favorite status and Oba’s recent impressive appearance on SmackDown, a big battle between these two could definitely create a viral moment.
