Bron Breakker & Austin Theory of The Vision are the reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions, winning the gold from the Street Profits on July 6.
With the duo having yet to defend the championship on TV, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of the World Tag Team title.
From recently called-up groups to singles stars who have recently been teaming together, there are plenty of options when it comes to tandems who could dethrone The Vision.
Here are four tag-teams who could win the World Tag Team Championship from The Vision.
946 (Royce Keys, Lucien Price & Bronco Nima)
Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM made their main roster debuts on the August 24 Raw episode, aligning themselves with Royce Keys while beating down LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and The Usos.
While the trio now collectively known as the 946 have mainly been targeting Jimmy and Jey Uso, we could see the group vie for the World Tag Team Championship to further cement their group’s dominance.
With Nima and Price being a team in NXT, this duo would likely be the team who challenges for tag gold on the main roster.
With Royce Keys having yet to win a traditional championship on the main roster however, we could see him as part of the winning duo, or the group could defend the gold via the Freebird rule to bolster each star’s accolades.
Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis)
Maxxine Dupri helped Austin Theory and Bron Breakker to win the World Tag Team Championship on July 6, officially aligning with The Vision in the process.
Since then, the group has had several run-ins with Dupri’s former teammates, Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy.
With the Vision beating down Tozawa and Otis ahead of taking out Oba Femi on the September 7 episode, fans have been waiting to see the group get its comeuppance.
It would be fulfilling to see Alpha Academy dethrone The Vision, both because of the teams’ personal issues, and because it would be cool to see Otis and Tozawa draped in gold.
LA Knight & Solo Sikoa
While targeting World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, LA Knight has found himself standing alongside Solo Sikoa.
LA Knight is set to challenge for Roman Reigns’ championship at Money in the Bank, however we could see the popular star target another set of champions following October 10.
With fans firmly behind both Knight and Sikoa, the duo winning the World Tag Team Championship could get more eyeballs the tag-team division, and make the titles feel more relevant.
Solo Sikoa is not the only star who Knight could team with to win tag-team gold however…
LA Knight & Oba Femi
With Oba Femi feuding with The Vision in recent weeks, we could see him bring his alliance with LA Knight to TV soon.
Femi and Knight teamed together against The Vision in numerous non-televised matches over the summer, during the live event summer tour.
The duo most recently squared off against The Vision after the September 14 Raw episode, defeating Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed following the live broadcast.
While many are anticipating Oba Femi squaring off against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, similar to how Cody Rhodes did in the winter ahead of WrestleMania 40, we could see him hold tag gold first.
