After suffering an attack at the hands of his own faction members in The Vision, it could be that Seth Rollins’ reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion is set to come to an end as well.

With a #1 contender already set, and reports of Rollins potentially suffering an injury, it may not be long before a new champion is crowned on Monday Night Raw.

Here are six WWE stars that could be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion after Seth Rollins.

6. CM Punk

WWE fans already know who has the next shot at Seth Rollins and his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Capturing the opportunity via a #1 Contender’s triple-threat match on WWE Raw against both LA Knight and Jey Uso on October 13, Punk is next up for Rollins.

With a long history in bouts against Seth Rollins, it could be appropriate to have their feud continue, even if Rollins has a spell on the sidelines.

Punk going on to face other top challengers across WWE Raw could be a fascinating spin with not only Bron Breakker lurking but possibly also a heel Jey Uso.

5. Bron Breakker

The Vision turn on Seth Rollins on WWE Raw

Spearheading the turn on Seth Rollins, it seems that Bron Breakker believes it is time for him to challenge The Visionary.

Seemingly a likely choice to want to take out Rollins place entirely after turning against him on the post-Crown Jewel edition of WWE Raw —Breakker could end up with his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Able to continue to carry forward The Vision storyline in the absence of Seth Rollins, Breakker could be an incredible next champion to move on to face waiting legends.

One star that has been out of WWE action for over a year due to injury is Ilja Dragunov.

After suffering a torn ACL during a house show match against GUNTHER, Dragunov hasn’t been seen in WWE since September 2024.

However, he continues to be rumored to be making his in-ring return, “The Mad Dragon” could take this opportunity to strike.

Potentially teasing a longer future feud with Seth Rollins, the quick title change could be an effective way to bring back Dragunov.

3. LA Knight

LA Knight on WWE Raw

One WWE star that could be a viable threat to Seth Rollins’ reign anytime in the near future is LA Knight.

With continued crowd support for his charismatic character, the nod could come at the perfect time to provide fresh feuds.

Possibly still fighting The Vision, LA Knight would also have to contend with a host of other top names set to return soon like GUNTHER and Ilja Dragunov.

Not having captured any titles during his time thus far on WWE Raw, perhaps it is time for LA Knight to bring home the gold.

2. AJ Styles

WWE's AJ Styles

In what could be a fun surprise, it could be AJ Styles that seizes a potential opportunity to grab another WWE championship.

After a match against John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel 2025 that will surely go down in history as legendary, Styles has proven that he has a lot left to give in the ring.

Able to step into the top storylines on WWE Raw, Styles could engage in some interesting feuds with the emerging heelish Jey Uso as well as LA Knight and CM Punk.

Styles has never won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with the title being introduced in 2023 although he was in the final of the tournament to crown the inaugural winner where he lost to Seth Rollins.

1. GUNTHER

After being described as “out of action indefinitely” on WWE TV, GUNTHER still hasn’t returned from taking time off for a legitimate nose issue.

Out of action since SummerSlam 2025 when he initially dropped the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk – GUNTHER could be returning in the near future.

Able to return to the main event scene, GUNTHER could be looking to reclaim the title he lost on his way to another big bout in December.

Reportedly set to be the final opponent for John Cena in December — perhaps GUNTHER will do so as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion?
