With Stephanie McMahon being the only announced WWE Hall of Fame 2026 inductee thus far, anticipation is high as to who will join her in next year’s class.

From top names that have made big contributions inside and outside the ring, to another pioneer in women’s wrestling — WWE has some incredible names to choose from for the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.

Here are eight new WWE Hall of Fame 2026 inductees that could be announced soon.

8. William Regal

One glaring omission from the WWE Hall of Fame is William Regal.

With a storied career between the ropes and behind the scenes, it would seem it was only a matter of time before he was included, especially given his current executive role in WWE and close friendship with Triple H.

The former 2x Intercontinental Champion also boasts being a 4x WWE European Champion and 5x Hardcore Champion in addition to his four reigns as World Tag Team champion and King of the Ring crown in 2008.

Known for his flawless technical abilities in the ring as well as expert level knowledge of match psychology  — William Regal is an ideal induction into the WWE Hall of Fame whenever it happens.

7. Melina

One pioneer of the WWE women’s division that hasn’t been recognized yet in the WWE Hall of Fame is Melina.

A 2x WWE Divas Champion, Melina was also a 3x WWE Women’s Champion during her tenure in the company.

Still competing sporadically on the independent scene, another potential spot to see Melina pop-up in 2026 could be in the Royal Rumble Riyadh in late January, something she has already done in the past.

Already announced for the WWE Hall of Fame induction class of 2026 — a WWE women’s division pioneer in her own right — Stephanie McMahon, however it’d be nice to see a true women’s in-ring performer take a spot in the Hall of Fame alongside her.

6. Matt & Jeff Hardy

A duo of legendary names that certainly seem like shoo-ins for a future induction in the WWE Hall of Fame are Matt and Jeff Hardy.

With their TNA deals reportedly expiring soon, and Matt and Jeff making no secret of their desire to return for a Hall of Fame induction and one last run, perhaps 2026 will be the year.

Another option WWE could pursue is producing a storyline alongside Matt and Jeff’s induction, with the brothers subject to a mystery attack which delays their Hall of Fame induction and pushes them into a feud with a current WWE force.

Nostalgic fan favorites, fans would certainly like to see the duo make a return to WWE screens even if for a short time or just ahead of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

5. Brian Pillman

After several years of fans pushing for his induction, perhaps 2026 could be the year that Brian Pillman takes his place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Having contributed to the foundation of the Attitude Era with edgy storylines, Brian Pillman’s untimely passing was a shock to fans and colleagues back in October 1997.

Appearing in Stampede Wrestling, WCW, WWF and ECW, Pillman had fascinating rivalries throughout his time in the ring that continue to be referenced by historians today.

Able to be inducted into the Hall of Fame by son Brian Pillman Jr. (NXT star Lexis King), it could be a special posthumous induction for the family.

4. Chris Jericho

Potentially making a return to WWE in 2026, it could be the year for Chris Jericho to also finally be inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame.

Notably having been signed to AEW from the beginning of the promotion in 2019, Jericho’s departure marks an intriguing return to WWE with the ability to mine old emotional ground for new storylines.

With potentially unfinished business all over the WWE roster, there are no shortage of potential in-ring challengers to Jericho but none can deny his impact on professional wrestling.

Seemingly poised to return as a heroic figure, it would be nice to see Chris Jericho inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame straight away.

3. Jim Johnston

Potentially ushering in a space in the WWE Hall of Fame for some of the company’s most impactful behind the scenes forces — long-time WWE composer Jim Johnston deserves recognition.

Crafting many of the most legendary WWE themes fans still cite as their favorites to this day, Johnston was responsible for over 10,000 pieces of music.

Writing and recording many of the theme songs by himself, his work didn’t stop there as he was also tapped to score several WWE Studios films and would also created music for the XFL.

It would be amazing to see wrestlers themselves get to share the impact of Johnston crafted themes on their careers in an opportunity to honor those that are rarely seen on-screen.

2. John Cena

While the John Cena farewell tour would have ended only a few months prior — perhaps the “Time Is Now” for Cena’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

With the good will towards the 17x World Champion still likely riding high, it would seem that WrestleMania 42 may be the perfect time to honor Cena’s incredible career.

While Cena has said he will not wrestle again — he has never said he wouldn’t factor into any WWE storylines in a major way in the future — potentially leaving him open to aligning on-screen with characters again down the road.

Potentially wrapping up his WWE Hall of Fame induction into some future storyline, there also be an on-screen resolution between “Big Match John” and “The Final Boss” The Rock.

Demolition are regarded as one of the top tag teams in WWE history, but have yet to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

There were issues between the team and the company for a number of years, but those issues are now settled and they are signed to legends contracts.

With those developments, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see them inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame soon.
