Naomi WWE return plans: Three rumored directions for the former Women’s World Champion’s return

Former WWE Women's World Champion Naomi

With Naomi having been off WWE TV for over a year, there have been some rumors swirling about her return to the company.

Naomi announced her pregnancy on the August 18, 2025 edition of Monday Night Raw, during a segment where she also relinquished her Women’s World Championship belt.

13 months later, False Finish now reports that WWE is “currently preparing” for Naomi’s return, which will happen “in the near future”.

There are plenty of avenues available for WWE regarding Naomi’s return, from teaming with family members, to targeting certain title holders.

Here are three potential plans for Naomi’s WWE return.

Helping the Bloodline to take down the 946

The 946 came together on the August 24 Raw episode, with Royce Keys, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima taking out LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and The Usos.

Keys, Price and Nima have targeted members of the Anoa’i family in the weeks since, but things took a drastic turn on the September 28 episode, with Jaida Parker hitting Jacob Fatu with her car and aligning with the 946.

With Royce Keys’ group now having a female member, it has been heavily speculated that Naomi will align with the Bloodline to even the odds.

Naomi is related to the Anoa’i family through marriage, being the wife of Jimmy Uso.

Women’s World Championship match

Naomi became WWE Women’s World Champion at Evolution 2025, cashing in her Money in the Bank contract to add herself to Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY’s title match, which she ultimately won.

She was forced to relinquish the gold after just 35 days, only having defended the gold once, against SKY and Ripley at that year’s SummerSlam.

With Naomi not having been defeated for the championship, it’d make sense to see her make it her mission to win back the Raw women’s division’s top prize.

While Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan are set to compete in a #1 contender’s match next week, current champion Stephanie Vaquer would be a much more fitting match-up for Naomi, given the fact that the duo were scheduled to face off at Clash In Paris ahead of Naomi stepping away from the ring due to her pregnancy.

Money in the Bank ladder match replacement

Another interesting way to have Naomi return would be for her to make a surprise appearance in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

The winner of the 2025 bout, Naomi was an entertaining briefcase holder in the month ahead of her cashing in at Evolution.

While qualifying matches have been taking place for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match for a number of weeks, being a former winner and title holder, Naomi is more than deserving of a wildcard entry.

While aligning with the Bloodline or taking out Stephanie Vaquer could be long-term directions for Naomi, a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank would be an unforgettable moment.
