The first WWE Raw of 2026 is shaping up to be a big episode for the company as they celebrate one year of being on Netflix.
Already announced for the show, Bron Breakker will challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, coming off his pinfall win over the champion in the Men’s WarGames at WWE Survivor Series 2025.
With this huge title bout to headline the show, WWE has the opportunity to make this a must-see card that fans are salivating to watch and kick off 2026 on the right foot on the red brand.
Here are seven more matches to be potentially added to the first WWE Raw of 2026.
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul
Since returning to WWE in November, Rey Mysterio has clearly made it known that he has his sights set on his son Dominik Mysterio.
Looking to humble his first born child, Mysterio wants to take the Intercontinental Championship from “Dirty Dom.” However, this has found him in direct opposition to Logan Paul, who wants the title to prove himself to The Vision.
This has led to Paul and Mysterio going at it over the past couple of weeks and seems to be on the road to a collision course.
This could culminate with Dominik Mysterio being forced to defend the IC Title against both his father and the viral superstar in a three-way on the January 5 edition of WWE Raw.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Maxxine Dupri (c) vs. Roxanne Perez
On the November 17 episode of WWE Raw, Maxxine Dupri defeated Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Since then, several stars in the Raw women’s division have made it clear that they are gunning for Dupri now that she won her first singles title in WWE.
One of those names who has stepped up to the plate in recent weeks is The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez.
“The Prodigy” feels like someone who has the momentum and ability to overcome a new edge from Maxxine to dethrone her for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the first Raw of 2026.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY
Another recently crowned new champions were The Kabuki Warriors who captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships for the third time in November.
Asuka and Kairi Sane have been embroiled in a storyline with IYO SKY since turning on her due to jealousy of her friendship with Rhea Ripley.
Back at WWE Crown Jewel 2025 in October, Ripley and SKY defeated The Kabuki Warriors in tag team action.
Coming off the heels of their victory in the Women’s WarGames at WWE Survivor Series 2025, Rhea and IYO could finally get their shot at The Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the January 5 Monday Night Raw.

WWE World Tag Team Championship: AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (c) vs. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)
On the December 8 edition of WWE Raw, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defeated The War Raiders to retain the World Tag Team Championships.
Post match, The New Day came into the ring to confront the champions when The Usos appeared to interrupt. Making it known they are back in the tag team scene, Jimmy and Jey put both teams on notice.
After reminding The New Day of their past dominance over them, The Usos then turned their attention to Styles and Lee, wanting to show them why the former Bloodline members are considered the greatest tag team in WWE history.
The Usos challenging Styles and Lee for the titles on the January 5 edition of WWE Raw could make for an exciting title match that can truly go either way in Brooklyn.

GUNTHER vs. Penta
On the December 5 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, GUNTHER defeated LA Knight to win the Last Time Is Now Tournament Final.
With this victory, “The Ring General” will now move on to face John Cena in his final match on the December 13 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
During the course of the tournament, GUNTHER could have faced Penta in the semifinals, but the masked luchador suffered an unfortunate injury during his quarterfinal match against Solo Sikoa.
With Penta reportedly healthy following this injury, fans could see WWE make good on this tantalizing matchup by giving GUNTHER his next challenge on the January 5 episode of Monday Night Raw.

WWE Women’s World Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan
At WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025, Liv Morgan made her return for the first time since suffering a dislocated shoulder injury in June.
Helping Dominik Mysterio defeat John Cena to regain the Intercontinental Championship, Morgan proved her worth and how she makes The Judgment Day better with her mere presence.
After claiming The Judgment Day is taking over Monday Night Raw again, Liv should firmly stake her claim for a shot at Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Women’s World Championship.
Morgan challenging “La Primera” could prove to be Vaquer’s toughest test and offer a compelling bout for the January 5 WWE Raw card from Brooklyn, New York.

Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed – Steel Cage Match
At WWE Crown Jewel 2025, Bronson Reed scored easily the biggest win of his career by defeating Roman Reigns in an Australian Street Fight.
Since then, Reed has continued to run roughshod over anyone in front of him and once again crossed paths with Reigns in the Men’s WarGames at WWE Survivor Series.
Wanting to avenge his loss before going back after one of the top titles in WWE, Reigns could choose the first WWE Raw of 2026 to battle Reed one-on-one once more.
Reigns facing Reed inside a steel cage could make for an even better match than their previous meeting and see their score being settled in one of the company’s most dangerous stipulations.
