Former WWE star Cedric Alexander made his TNA Wrestling debut on the June 20 edition of Impact.
The former Cruiserweight Champion and member of The Hurt Business was part of the wave of releases WWE made back in February.
He’s an excellent pick-up for TNA — but the question now is: who could be next?
Here are six former WWE stars we could see “cross the line” and join TNA.
6. Carlito

Carlito became a free agent after WWE unexpectedly chose not to renew his contract.
This came despite the 46-year-old being featured prominently on Raw each week as part of The Judgment Day faction.
Given his name value and recent visibility on WWE’s flagship programming, it seems likely that TNA will make a play for him.
With TNA’s long-standing history of pushing ex-WWE stars, it would not be a surprise to see Carlito become a main-eventer for the company.

5. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was also released by WWE in May – he was arguably the most surprising of all roster member cuts.
A former WWE Universal Champion, Strowman is an international star with major name recognition, making him a likely target for TNA.
After his first WWE release in 2021, he only made sporadic appearances, showing little interest in signing with a secondary company.
The question now is whether he’ll be open to a TNA run — and, if so, could we see “The Titan” appear at their next PPV, Slammiversary on July 20?

4. Elayna Black (Cora Jade)

Cora Jade was also released by WWE in May – a surprising move, given her previous prominence in NXT.
Reassuming her former indie name Elayna Black, she’s recently been doing the rounds on podcasts and made an in-ring return for GCW.
She already appeared for TNA earlier this year as part of WWE’s working relationship with the promotion, making TNA feel like a natural landing spot.
Black would be a big-name surprise for TNA’s flagship Slammiversary PPV on July 20.

3. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

The Good Brothers, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, were released by WWE for a second time in February (or in Gallows’ case, his third time).
Following their release in March 2020, they debuted in TNA at the company’s Slammiversary PPV in July.
Could history be about to repeat itself, with the three-time TNA Tag World Team Champions making another surprise return at the very same event?
This is something we could well see on July 20.

2. Priscilla Kelly (Gigi Dolin)

NXT star Gigi Dolin was among WWE’s releases in May.
The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion quickly returned to the independent scene under her original ring name, Priscilla Kelly.
However, her first match back on June 14 – for Wrestling Revolver against her fiancé Zachary Wentz – was cut short due to a dislocated kneecap, though Kelly later confirmed the issue won’t keep her out of action.
A charismatic talent with yet untapped potential, Kelly would be an intriguing and beneficial addition to TNA’s Knockouts Division.

1. Karl Fredericks (Eddy Thorpe)

NXT star Eddy Thorpe was one of WWE’s May releases.
At 34, Fredericks is a supremely talented in-ring performer with a proven track record in NJPW.
While he doesn’t have the name recognition of bigger ex-WWE stars, his upside is undeniable – could TNA be the ones to take a chance on him?
