This weekend WWE calls for another Night of Champions.
Despite history being that every champion in WWE defends their title at this event, that doesn’t quite seem to be the case this year, as Roman Reigns won’t be defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, United States Champion Austin Theory isn’t on the show, and the Women’s Tag Team Championship is vacant and will be contested on Raw instead.
Having said that, here’s the full card for the show so far:
World Heavyweight Championship – Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. AJ Styles
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa
Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka
SmackDown Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya
Intercontinental Championship – Gunther (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus
The upcoming PLE seems to be the perfect occasion for some return royale action, so let’s take a look at several comebacks that might take place.
For example, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia could welcome back a queen…
Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair took one of her regular leaves of absence after dropping the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley in a match-of-the-year contender at WrestleMania.
Bianca Belair seems to be finishing up her story with Asuka at the event and is in desperate need of a new challenger.
Belair is holding a Raw Championship, but is calling her new home SmackDown – it’s confusing I know.
But at least Flair vs Bianca could be an intriguing feud.
Two women, as athletic as it gets, eager to outdo each other.

Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss apparently went undrafted during WWE’s recent draft and has been off TV for skin cancer treatment.
Before the procedure, she was apparently penciled in for a storyline with Bray Wyatt – who is also off TV.
While Wyatt seems to be off TV for a little longer, Bliss should be ready by now.
The women’s division is in desperate need of star power, WWE should not wait and put her back on track.

Maximum Male Models

Speaking of star power, where is Saudi Arabia’s favorite son? Mansoor…I mean mån.sôör.
He and his Maximum Male Model partner, ma.çé, have been off TV all May, while their manager Maxxine Dupri is managing Otis.
mån.sôör made his debut during a Saudi-Arabia event and is a local hero.
It would be a major occasion to have the Maximum Male Models titillate the juices of the Arabians’ guilty pleasures.

William Regal

How will Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar take place when Cody Rhodes clearly has a broken arm?
Triple H tried his best to avoid this from happening, but Cody is set to attend Night of Champions and face his tormentor, Brock Lesnar.
Insert one of Triple H’s closest confidants…
William Regal.
He can be what Arn Anderson was to Cody in AEW.
The connection is already there as William Regal worked closely with Dusty Rhodes down in NXT.
Regal is there to make sure that Triple H’s decision to let Cody wrestle was not a mistake, but also to bring Cody to the next level.

Drew McIntyre

Recently, WWE started to bring back Drew McIntyre’s name into the conversation as he was mentioned by them during a Twitter poll.
The big Scotsman has been off TV, seemingly due to creative issues. Whoever wins the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions needs a challenger.
What better way to bring back Drew and have him turn heel, showing his desire to be World Champion has driven him into complete madness.
The Scottish Psychopath could make an immediate impact with his arrival back in Saudi Arabia.
