Last Minute Changes To AEW Full Gear 2025

With AEW Full Gear 2025 set for tonight, there could still be last minute changes to hit the event before showtime.

From potential returns to an entire faction that seems on the bring of imploding — Full Gear may prove to be one of the most pivotal events of the year for AEW.

Here are six last minute changes to AEW Full Gear 2025

6. DC Integration Reveal

One piece of the overall marketing for AEW Full Gear 2025 has been that the event is “presented by DC” as a part of the on-going collab between DC Comics & AEW.

Amid the ongoing collaboration between brands, there may be some interesting comic book crossover moments through the broadcast.

With a few different places that the partnership could be made apparent, it could end up coming down to set design and possibly the attire of some wrestlers.

With trios action pitting Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express against The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander, perhaps there will be a DC theme to their bout since it is advertised as being for a “one-million dollar cash prize”.

5. Stipulation For PAC vs. Darby Allin

If there is any match on the card that is set to certainly thrill audiences, PAC versus Darby Allin is likely to get brutal, bloody and wild.

However, there aren’t any specific stipulations attached so they could go ahead and just clarify that this one is a falls count anywhere and/or has hardcore rules.

With some fans predicting the collapse of the Death Riders through a one-two punch of PAC besting Darby Allin via a clean victory — an achievement Moxley has yet to obtain — but also another loss for the leader.

With Jon Moxley set to take on technician Kyle O’Reilly, it could be that one more loss for Mox could finally put the end to the Death Riders loyalty to their fledgling leader.

4. MJF Return

Despite already having a guaranteed AEW World Title shot in his back pocket, it could also make sense to see MJF enter the Casino Gauntlet match for the newly introduced AEW National Championship at Full Gear.

The first two entrants are already Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley from the Hurt Syndicate — a group with notable history with MJF — perhaps Tony Khan would spoil his own surprise by revealing during the pre-show that MJF was back.

Providing the perfect opportunity for MJF to return as well as immediately capture a title, it has already been touted that the National Championship may be defended in other promotions like CMLL or ROH.

With MJF already having a huge crowd reaction in Mexico for CMLL a few months back, it stands to reason that not only will the notorious MJF be back soon — he’ll win the AEW National Championship at Full Gear 2025 as he bides his time to cash-in his AEW World Title shot on Hangman Adam Page.

3. The Acclaimed Turn Heel Together

AEW's The Acclaimed

While they continue to protest having to partner with one another, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are still set to take part in a four-team tag match on the Full Gear Zero Hour.

Set to face the Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & Austin Gunn), The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) as well as Big Bill and Bryan Keith — the reunion could end up revealing something intriguing about the scissor-loving duo.

Potentially coming back together by Max Caster properly turning heel alongside the already disliked Anthony Bowens, there could be an entirely new path for The Acclaimed.

Able to take on plenty of babyface teams like The Outrunners, JetSpeed (Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey) and Top Flight — the move would make total sense and get the pair re-established as a team once more.

2. Surprise Return Costs Mercedes Moné

There are several stars that could be making a big return to aid Kris Statlander in retaining her AEW Women’s World Championship.

Potentially looking to allies who have been out of action but with a potential axe to grind with Moné, Stat could get some help from the returning Dr. Britt Baker, Kamille or even Hikaru Shida.

On the other hand, a more random interference from the likes of Thunder Rosa, Deonna Purrazzo or Anna Jay could end up putting Moné on a collision course over the TBS Championship in the future.

With multiple options, it could definitely be that the AEW Women’s World Championship continues to elude Ultimo Moné heading into the new year.

1. Tag Team Break-Up

With all four semi-finalists in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament meeting in the ring at Full Gear 2025 in a four corners tag match — it could definitely spell the end for at least one of the pairs of pals.

Bringing together Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne, The Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue & Julia Hart), Timeless Love Bombs (Mina Shirakawa & Toni Storm) and the Babes Of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale), there could perhaps be a big blow up between one of the teams before they’ve even competed in their designated semi-final tournament match.

With the most likely split occurring between Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir, it could also end up that there is trouble in paradise between Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa.

After losing her beloved AEW World Championship and possibly falling short of capturing tag team gold, perhaps Timeless Toni Storm may snap yet again — revealing her latest iteration on the heels of Full Gear 2025.
