At WWE Money In The Bank 2026, Roman Reigns defeated LA Knight to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

This marked the second time that Knight has lost to Reigns in a major title match over the past three years.

After this heartbreaking loss, it should be interesting to see what Knight will possibly do next.

Here are some potential LA Knight WWE future plans following his loss to Roman Reigns.

Heel turn

LA Knight on WWE Raw

LA Knight has been one of the most popular WWE stars on the roster over the past few years.

Usually garnering loud cheers from the fans, Knight even got the fans in New Orleans for WWE Money In The Bank to boo Roman Reigns in favor of him.

“The Megastar” might need to switch things up following this loss in his latest bid for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Knight turning heel would be shocking and see him go to the dark side to finally win his first world title in WWE.

Challenging Chad Gable for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

LA Knight has been all about championship gold throughout his time in WWE.

While this loss against Roman Reigns at WWE Money In The Bank puts him at the back of the line for contention, it shouldn’t stop his pursuit of championship gold.

Looking at WWE Raw, Chad Gable has been the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion since winning the gold at SummerSlam 2026.

Knight could target the IC Title and try to win another championship to continue towards his ultimate goal of becoming a world champion.

Moving back to SmackDown

For much of his first few years in WWE, LA Knight was one of the biggest stars on Friday Night SmackDown.

In 2025, Knight switched brands and became part of the Monday Night Raw roster.

Following this loss to Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship, Knight might need a change of scenery to turn around his misfortune.

“The Megastar” could join the robust amount of challengers gunning for Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown and immediately put himself back into world title contention with this move.

Joining the 946 against The Bloodline

The 946 have become a threat to everyone on the Monday Night Raw brand in recent months.

When Royce Keys, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima first showed up, they jumped LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and The Usos.

Since then, Knight has seen the 946 kidnap Sikoa, bloody The Usos and run Jacob Fatu down with a vehicle.

While he was cool with Solo, seeing his friends reunite with The Bloodline might cause Knight to choose to side with the 946 instead of stand side-by-side with Roman Reigns and could draw the battle lines even further with The Bloodline moving forward.
