With the WWE WrestleMania 42 card still having space for plenty of new matches, SmackDown fan favorite Jacob Fatu is almost certain to have a significant spot on the card.
However, what isn’t yet clear is who “The Samoan Werewolf” might face in Las Vegas, but there are multiple intriguing options.
Here are five potential matches for Jacob Fatu at WWE WrestleMania 42.
5. Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes – Undisputed WWE Championship Triple Threat Match
With the trio of Jacob Fatu, Cody Rhodes and WWE Undisputed Champion Drew McIntyre continuing to tangle on SmackDown, it could be that there will be a massive triple-threat match at WrestleMania 42.
Rhodes’ path to WrestleMania 42 is clear: win the Men’s Elimination Chamber. However, there could be a path forward that sees some intervention from the office to justify Fatu’s addition in the match also.
With Nick Aldis being clear with Fatu on the February 20 edition of SmackDown that he would get a future crack at McIntyre, perhaps Aldis will give Fatu that chance at the “Grandest Stage of Them All.”
Certainly a fun way to ratchet up the drama on the Road to WrestleMania 42, all three men going to war could be the perfect creative solution to appease fans of Fatu and Rhodes.

4. Randy Orton
Potentially the most lowkey top suspect for Jacob Fatu’s mystery attacker is Randy Orton, with The Viper remaining near the drama but so far, staying clear of it.
Although he wasn’t spotted backstage at the scene, Orton still seems very capable of having pulled off the assault.
Clearly enjoying seeing Fatu lay chase to McIntyre, it could be that in the end it is revealed that Orton was really the one who struck Fatu with a Punt Kick backstage.
Possibly laying the groundwork for Orton to turn on Cody Rhodes in the future as well, there could be a whole host of new storylines coming soon for the legendary WWE star.

3. Santos Escobar
A potentially interesting future opponent for Jacob Fatu could be a star that has been away from the main roster for quite some time — Santos Escobar.
While he has made a return in AAA, perhaps there could be a reveal in the future that shows Fatu that it was really a faction of interlopers from AAA that attacked him all along.
Working with other heels from AAA, the angle could establish Escobar as a more credible threat than his time in charge of Legado del Fantasma.
Paving the way for a future title program between Fatu and whichever man emerges holding the Undisputed WWE Championship, the interim feud would be a solid reboot for Escobar even if he ultimately takes the loss in Las Vegas.

2. Aleister Black
After capturing a major victory over Randy Orton on SmackDown on February 20, perhaps it could be Aleister Black who ends up going one-on-one with Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42.
Presumably poised to go on to have a push in the near future, perhaps Aleister Black could aim for Fatu next.
While Black is seemingly intent on digging up Orton’s heel side on the Road to WrestleMania 42, perhaps things will come together for a triple threat match between them and “The Samoan Werewolf.”
With the mystery still looming about who attacked Jacob Fatu backstage in October — a reveal of either Orton or Black could lead to a big match in Las Vegas.

1. Drew McIntyre – Sin City Street Fight
With animosity still running high between Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu, it could be that their showdown is headed for WrestleMania 42 in a one-on-one bout.
Undisputed WWE Championship prospects aside, their rivalry has been heated enough that no title would be needed to maintain the drama.
However, pitting the two against one another in a Las Vegas themed Street Fight could be a perfect way to cap off their feud.
If WWE was able to pull off a non-traditional match with plenty of weapons and surprising locations for a rumble — this bout could be a total show stealer on either night.
