With some recognizable names out of WWE action due to injury, we could see some big returns at WrestleMania 42.

It could be that several WWE stars find fortune in Las Vegas, returning to action or at least TV ahead of schedule so they don’t miss out on WrestleMania 42.

Here are five WWE stars that could make a return from injury at WrestleMania 42.

5. Jordynne Grace

One currently injured star that could make her return and make an immediate impact at WrestleMania 42 is Jordynne Grace.

While she picked up an ankle injury during a dark match on March 6, fans will be hoping to see “The Juggernaut” pick up where she left off on the blue brand soon enough.

Certainly able to resume her feud with Giulia, Grace could also be the perfect babyface answer to any heel winners on the weekend with Becky Lynch, Jade Cargill and Liv Morgan all with having the chance to leave Las Vegas with gold.

Alternatively, Grace could potentially be repackaged as a heel and aligned with Paul Heyman, with “The Oracle” recently describing her as a “box office attraction.”

4. Chad Gable

While Chad Gable already has returned to WWE action as The Original El Grande Americano — the identity of the luchador has never been confirmed on TV.

A mask vs. mask match at WrestleMania between The Original and new El Grande Americanos could be on the cards, which means that we could see the return of Chad Gable if the American Made star loses the match.

With the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile having been in a bit of holding pattern in Gable’s absence, perhaps a big return for the entire squad at WrestleMania 42 could in order.

Gable being unmasked is a win-win, with the Olympian carrying the potential to be a top singles star under his own name, while Ludwig Kaiser is excelling as El Grande Americano and still has plenty of success in his future also.

3. Bron Breakker

After suffering a hernia injury on the Raw after the Royal Rumble, Bron Breakker’s WrestleMania 42 hopes were dashed.

However, with reports that Breakker is working diligently in rehab to return sooner rather than later, it could be that the rising star returns at WrestleMania 42.

Potentially picking up where he left off in his rivalry with Seth Rollins. Breakker could be poised to cost his former mentor his match with GUNTHER at WrestleMania.

This could then set up the pair for a major feud heading into Backlash and beyond.

2. Bronson Reed

After suffering a distal biceps tear in February 2026 which carried a potential return timeframe of between 3 – 6 months, Bronson Reed may still have some time to go before he gets back into WWE action.

Despite Reed likely not being cleared for in-ring action anytime soon, he could make an appearance on TV including playing a role in some kind of surprise angle at WrestleMania 42.

Like Breakker, Reed could return and ensure that Seth Rollins loses at WrestleMania, or alternatively he could provide backup to The Vision in their likely multi-man tag team match with The Usos and LA Knight.

Whatever the case, WWE could certainly use the “Auszilla” before he’s actually fit and able to compete.

1. Chelsea Green

One injured star that fans continue to hope is able to make an in-ring return in time for WrestleMania 42 is Chelsea Green.

Green has continued to appear on TV despite her ankle injury and the lack of in-ring competition hasn’t stopped her from being wildly entertaining.

Able to resume her character seamlessly, Green is an example of a heel that in fact, is beloved by the audience.

Similarly to Dominik Mysterio’s ability to still entertain and delight fans even when his antics are dastardly, Chelsea Green could make an in-ring return at WrestleMania 42 in order to throw herself into a potential US Title Match between Giulia and Tiffany Stratton.
