With several big names in WWE out of action after sustaining injuries, there could be some that are headed back to action as soon as this Saturday’s Survivor Series PLE.

Out of action for differing amounts of time, each could be poised to make a big return in San Diego and shake things up for their respective brands.

Here are six injured WWE stars that could potentially return at Survivor Series 2025.

6. Austin Theory

One name that was reported for the men’s WarGames match that ended up seemingly scrapped from the plans in the wake of Seth Rollins’ injury is Austin Theory.

While he was described as injured by his former A-Town Down Under tag team partner Grayson Waller, there hasn’t been further details of the nature of his injury disclosed.

With Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre now in place of the originally reported Seth Rollins and Austin Theory for the men’s WarGames match— not making the cut for the team doesn’t mean that he couldn’t still appear at the event.

Possibly popping up as a new member of The Vision who is able to inflict damage and shenanigans from outside the WarGames structure — there could be a surprise heel turn revealed for Theory at Survivor Series instead.

5. Jacob Fatu

Contrary to Austin Theory, one name who could serve as an outsider to interfere on behalf of the babyface men’s WarGames team is Jacob Fatu.

Jacob Fatu has been out of action in WWE since taking time off to have a dental surgery with his exact timeline for return still unknown.

With Fatu’s absence being explained as attack by an unknown assailant off-screen, he has yet to return to action or to seek revenge.

With most fingers pointing to Drew McIntyre being responsible for the attack, perhaps a big reveal will unfold something that no one sees coming.

4. Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan has been out of action in WWE since suffering a shoulder injury during a match with Kairi Sane in June.

While she would undergo surgery, according to reports she is nearing return to action in “early 2026”, but there’s a chance she could be back earlier.

With speculation that Morgan may make her return to WWE as a babyface character, it would make sense that she might appear at Survivor Series.

Potentially resurrecting her previous feud with Nikki Bella, now that Bella is a heel — WWE fans could end up still seeing the originally planned showdown between Morgan and Bella but reimagined.

A potential surprise return could come in the form the EST of WWE, Bianca Belair after a long absence due to injury.

Out of action after sustaining an injury during the triple-threat match for the WWE Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41, Belair has made several appearances without physicality.

With the injury turning out to be more complex than originally thought — with Belair’s knuckles injured in addition to multiple fractured fingers — her time away from in-ring competition has been longer than expected.

Still out of action, Belair has recently commented that she continues to be hopeful for an in-ring return in the near future.

2. Apollo Crews

One injured WWE star that has already made a return to a WWE partner promotion is Apollo Crews.

Popping up at Lucha Libre AAA Alianzas in Mexico City on November 22, Apollo Crews made his in-ring return by facing former WWE star Lince Dorado in a dark match.

Potentially rejoining the main roster, Apollo Crews could be back in action sooner rather than later.

Able to debut as a new member in The Vision who can wreak havoc from the outside of the WarGames bout, Crews could end up involved in a big story soon.

1. Chad Gable

Another potential return to WWE screens in the near future is Chad Gable after being out since June with a shoulder injury.

Without any specific timeline for the versatile star to return, it would be intriguing for him to run into a familiar face in San Diego — even if it was only in a backstage return segment.

Coming face-to-face with El Grande Americano, it seems logical that Gable and his American Made tag team Julius & Brutus Creed could be set for a big program with the Americanos soon.

With the addition of Rayo Americano (Pete Dunne) and Bravo Americano (Tyler Bate) since Gable’s absence, it will be very exciting to see what happens next.
