There are some intriguing free agents in professional wrestling right now that could be soon to sign with WWE NXT.
From stars that fans have already met from crossovers with TNA Wrestling to brand new arrivals, there are some solid choices available to join the NXT roster.
Here are seven free agents that could be soon to sign with WWE NXT.
7. Joe Hendry

One of the most logical signings to WWE NXT in the near future is former TNA Wrestling Champion, Joe Hendry.
Already making frequent appearances as part of TNA’s crossovers with NXT, Hendry has also already been introduced to the main roster audience.
After being an entrant in the 2025 Royal Rumble in January and then facing Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 as a surprise opponent, there have been some big moments this year for Hendry.
Likely to continue to appear on NXT for a spell before joining the main roster, Hendry’s signing to WWE when his contract with TNA expires at the end of the year seems to be a solid bet.

6. Private Party

After they dropped the AEW Tag Team Championship to the Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin in January 2025, Private Party disappeared.
With no subsequent appearances in AEW for Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen, it seems likely they are waiting out the end of their contracts with the company.
While there were reports over the summer that the end could be near for the duo, instead they remain listed on the AEW roster page and possibly having had time added due to injury.
Since the duo boast a TV ready gimmick, a fan-interactive entrance and a charismatic look & persona in addition to their in-ring skills, it would seem that Private Party would be an ideal pick for WWE NXT.

5. Mike Santana

Although Mike Santana recently won the TNA Wrestling Championship from Trick Williams ending the NXT star’s stranglehold over the title, it doesn’t mean that he is for sure staying with the company.
Santana’s contract with TNA Wrestling is reportedly set to end in 2025, leaving only a few months for the promotion to re-sign him.
After impressive appearances on NXT and plenty of positive buzz for his recent work, it could be that the crossovers go the opposite direction.
While Mike Santana could sign with WWE and appear on NXT, he could also continue to crossover with his rivals from TNA Wrestling.

4. Cedric Alexander

One potential free agent that could make a surprise return to WWE NXT would be Cedric Alexander.
After being released from WWE in February 2025, he would go on to rebuild in TNA Wrestling.
Although it has been widely speculated that Alexander could be AEW bound after hitting free agency, the former Hurt Business faction member has yet to arrive.
Potentially signaling that there are other plans in mind for Alexander, it could be that he finds himself re-signing with WWE and making a big impact on NXT.

After being released from WWE in 2021 and having a run in TNA, the duo of Jess McKay and Cassie Lee took time off from wrestling to start families with both having children.
The captivating pair returned to wrestling in June 2025 in TNA and have gone on to achieve success, capturing the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship for a second time.
They first started out as the Iconic Duo in NXT several years ago, before joining the WWE main roster as The IIconics.
Working as free agents in TNA, they could potentially make a return to the brand where it all started.

One star that could find herself joining the NXT women’s division is TNA Wrestling’s Killer Kelly.
While her TNA contract was originally reported to be up in August 2025, it was later noted that due to time off for maternity leave, the contract was extended through the end of 2025.
Potentially poised to hop over to WWE NXT, Killer Kelly could be an intriguing and powerful addition to the NXT women’s division.
With expected call-ups and injuries potentially taking out several top NXT female stars, Killer Kelly could become the latest challenger to the likes of Tatum Paxley, Zaria & Lola Vice.

1. Danhausen

Danhausen has been absent from AEW for a couple of years now.
With his close friendship with CM Punk, and Punk even appearing in one of his recent vlogs, the possibility of a move to WWE will always come up in conversation.
However, even beyond that, Danhausen in his own right has plenty of upside, and could be seen by WWE as someone along the lines of Joe Henry and Mr Iguana who could produce many viral moments and plenty of merch opportunities.
