With WWE Royal Rumble 2026 fast approaching, there could be some fun returns to be on the lookout for, including several former WWE Women’s Champions.
From current WWE stars who have been out of action after loss or injury, to other fan favorites that could be making their first appearances in a Royal Rumble match, there are some interesting options.
Here are six former WWE Women’s Champions that could make a return at the Royal Rumble 2026.
6. Tiffany Stratton
One of the most likely former WWE Women’s Champions that could be set to reappear at the 2026 Royal Rumble is Tiffany Stratton.
Having been out of action since dropping her WWE Women’s Championship to Jade Cargill at Saturday Night’s Main Event in November.
Potentially saving her return for the Royal Rumble 2026, it would certainly seem as though that it was poised to be Tiffy Time again soon.
With Stratton featuring heavily in the already airing adverts for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas along with several other top female stars in WWE, it would seem that Stratton will be back very soon.

5. Trish Stratus
A performer that has already been well received when visiting Saudi Arabia is Trish Stratus.
Capturing the WWE Women’s Championship 7x during her career, it would be fun to see Stratus tease going after the title one more time.
Since the WWE Hall of Famer could certainly make a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble 2026, Trish could be the perfect surprise return.
Able to engage in a few fun moments before dipping out of the match, the return would be perfectly non-consequential whist also being a great deal of fun.

4. Bianca Belair
Still absent since picking up an injury during a match at WrestleMania last year, it could be that fans are close to seeing the return of Bianca Belair.
Out of action since her triple-threat match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, it could be that Belair is set to make her surprise return at the Royal Rumble 2026.
Having captured the WWE Women’s Championship twice in addition to holding the WWE Raw and SmackDown women’s titles, Belair has missed nearly an entire year of action.
Certainly poised to return with a vengeance, she could be the perfect Royal Rumble 2026 winner, able to take aim at reclaiming her WWE Women’s World Championship from Raw or Jade Cargill, who is currently holding the WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown.

Another nostalgic favorite that could be making a return at the Royal Rumble 2026 could be Lita.
Already revealed for the cover art for the WWE 2K26 Attitude Era Edition, it could be that the former champ is set to return to WWE action soon.
Holding the WWE Women’s Championship 4x, Lita has held WWE gold more recently as well after winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Becky Lynch in 2023.
Certainly with intriguing moments able to be had with numerous other women on the roster, it could be the perfect time to see a return from Lita at Royal Rumble 2026 in Riyadh.

After Nikki Bella made her big return at the Royal Rumble 2025, perhaps there will be some twin magic this year in Riyadh.
Having held the WWE Divas Championship for 70 days in 2011, perhaps the Royal Rumble 2026 could see the return of Brie Bella.
Along with Brie, another nostalgic former Divas Champions that could appear is Paige.
Having already made her in-ring return to action while under contract with AEW as her actual first name Saraya, it could be that the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion is the perfect return for this year’s Royal Rumble.

Three-time former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee could certainly be making her in-ring return to the 2026 Royal Rumble to compete in the bout for the first time.
With her career in WWE pre-dating the introduction of the women’s Royal Rumble. Lee could be making her in-ring return to WWE to a brand new match type.
Last wrestling back in November as a part of the winning team for Survivor Series WarGames, it could be that Lee not only faces off with some recent rivals — but familiar faces from the past as well.
Possibly ending up in a face off with the likes of fellow former women’s division icons or returning nostalgic favorites, AJ Lee’s return could make for plenty of fun moments in her very first Royal Rumble match.
