Former WWE Factions To Return

With a strong history of powerful factions, WWE could potentially see the return of some former groups in the coming months.

Bringing together new groups under a former moniker or re-establishing stables from the recent past, there could be some intriguing new storylines set to start.

Here are six former WWE factions that could be making a return soon.

6. Damage CTRL

One group that could reunite in WWE albeit perhaps with a little different configuration could definitely be Damage CTRL.

Originally a trio consisting of Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, later a returning Kairi Sane and Asuka would join the group as well.

With Bayley eventually pushed out as leader, Asuka and Kairi Sane have remained aligned while IYO SKY has gone on to achieve new heights of success as a babyface.

The group could certainly rise again, this time under the leadership of IYO SKY, potentially giving a brand new storyline for the impressive former WWE Women’s World Champion after WrestleMania 42.

5. Right To Censor

One vintage concept that could be brought back into the new era of WWE but without any of the original members could be Right to Censor.

The villainous stable was a short lived faction between 2000-2001 served as a parody of the very real life Parents Television Council.

In an intriguing twist on the concept, Kit Wilson could easily become the faction leader of a brand new squad that rather than echo the concerns of parent watchdog groups, instead the modern equivalent in the vocal minority of the online fandom.

With the opportunity to call out plenty of “toxic” characters and behaviors across WWE, Wilson could recruit others to his cause and begin calling out all sorts of “toxic” moments.

4. American Made

After Chad Gable was taken out of action due to injury, the El Grande Americano character soldiered on but without the Creed Brothers in tow.

Instead moving on to establishing a brand new trio with Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne under the monikers of Bravo & Rayo Americano respectively — there seems to be a clear trios battle coming soon.

With Chad Gable having returned to action (although not yet under his original Gable character, rather exclusively as ‘The Original El Grande Americano’), perhaps the American Made group is on the verge of coming back together.

Potentially settling the score during a trios showdown at WrestleMania 42, there could be answers revealed if one or both of the El Grande Americanos find themselves unmasked in Las Vegas.

3. Straight Edge Society

While CM Punk’s return to WWE has featured a humble, babyface persona from the legendary star — that wasn’t always his signature WWE style.

Rather as the leader of the Straight Edge Society, Punk was certainly a much more contemptuous figure.

Potentially bringing back the group but featuring brand new talent on the rise from NXT, Punk could certainly create a new iteration of the group.

Able to serve as a moral compass on either WWE Raw or SmackDown, the group’s dynamics could make for a very intriguing second half of 2026.

2. League of Nations

While the original configuration of the group featured Rusev, Sheamus, Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio — certainly a brand new group could come together.

With numerous intriguing additions to the group, Rusev and Sheamus could resume their role but recruit different talent to join them.

With Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) being a solid choice, there could also be a new alliance featuring a new combination of talent from NXT.

Recently signing to NXT, several top UK indie names that could make a big splash on the main roster like Dorian Van Dux, Nathan Angel and Romeo Moreno — a brand new group could certainly form on the main roster.

1. Team B.A.D. (Beautiful And Dangerous)

WWE has seen a number of powerful female trios like Team B.A.D., Toxic Attraction and PCB, any number of which could be resurrected in a new iteration.

While the original group configuration included Naomi, Sasha Banks and Tamina — certainly the return of Naomi in the future could bring a brand new group together.

With Naomi serving as the anchor to the group, the addition of Bayley and Nattie could create a brand new legendary stable.

Or taking on the name to create a brand new group, Jade Cargill could certainly take up the moniker for her new trio on SmackDown featuring Michin and B.Fab after they united to attack Rhea Ripley on the March 27 edition of SmackDown.
