Former TNA Wrestling Champions To Sign With WWE

Back in January, WWE and TNA Wrestling announced the beginning of a new multi-year partnership that would see stars crossover between the two companies.

While this year has seen consistent cross-promotion and surprise appearances, it has also seen WWE linked with signing many of the TNA names that have appeared on their programming.

Former TNA Wrestling Knockout’s Champion Jordynne Grace made the move to WWE earlier this year, but she may not be the last to do so.

Whether current stars or alumni, here are seven former TNA Wrestling champions to potentially sign with WWE.

7. Gail Kim

TNA Wrestling Hall of Famer and former seven-time TNA Knockout’s World Champion Gail Kim is perhaps the company’s greatest ever female performer, with her work in TNA going beyond her work inside the ring.

Kim had been working behind the scenes in a creative role for TNA but was surprisingly let go in March, ending her 14-year association with the company.

While Kim has previously stated that she thought a WWE return was unlikely, perhaps that could change now that she’s not with TNA.

Working with WWE’s female talent in a creative capacity either on the main roster or on NXT, Kim would be an invaluable addition to the company.

6. Samoa Joe

Before arriving in WWE in 2015, Samoa Joe was synonymous with TNA Wrestling – spending a decade with the company and winning every prize available to him in the process.

While his time in WWE had many high points, many fans still look back with feelings that he could have achieved more. Joe had all the tools to win a world championship in WWE, and came close on many occasions, but sadly the trigger was never pulled on him.

Thankfully, Joe has somewhat managed to write that wrong by reaching the very top of AEW, becoming the company’s World Champion at AEW Worlds End in December 2023.

While Joe is once again holding gold in AEW as one third of the AEW Trios World Champions, perhaps he could one day make a return to WWE. Whether in a backstage capacity, working alongside Triple H once again, or as a competitor on TV, Joe is someone who WWE should be attempting to re-sign if he ever departs AEW.

5. Moose

Moose on WWE NXT

Another man who has pretty much done it all in TNA Wrestling is Moose.

Unlike our last entry however, Moose is still a member of the TNA roster and has been one of the more featured stars to appear on WWE programming since the two companies’ partnership began.

Whether it was challenging Oba Femi for the WWE NXT Championship at WWE Roadblock or stepping up to Trick Williams during his ongoing reign as TNA World Champion, Moose feels like someone who could very easily make the move to WWE full-time with ease.

At 41 years old, one would think the clock is ticking on such a move, if that is something Moose is in fact interested in. However, given that he signed a new five-year-deal with the company in 2023 this one may be unlikely for the time being.

4. Joe Hendry

From a more unlikely move, to one that feels like a certainty – Joe Hendry someday signing on the dotted line with WWE feels inevitable.

2025 has seen the Scottish star compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match, challenge Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 and appear consistently on NXT programming, making him feel as much a WWE star as a TNA one, he even surprised fans by showing up for several dates on WWE’s ongoing European tour.

While he is a regular presence in WWE already, him signing with the company would allow for some proper investment in him on the main roster.

Hendry’s contract with TNA is set to expire at some point in 2025, so expect some developments on his future in the coming months.

3. The Hardy Boyz

The only two stars that are currently holding TNA gold on this list, Matt and Jeff Hardy are currently enjoying a career resurgence as TNA World Tag Team Champions – their fourth reign with the gold.

While this latest TNA run has been great for The Hardy Boyz, many fans are hoping and expecting the legendary duo to wrap up their careers back in WWE, something that both Matt and Jeff have been public about wanting also.

The jury remains out on whether they’d sign another full-time deal with WWE, having a part-time run, complete with a Hall of Fame induction, would make for a perfect way to celebrate their legacy.

Much like Joe Hendry, The Hardys’ contacts with TNA are set to expire later this year, so we may soon get an answer regarding their next steps.

2. Masha Slamovich

Former TNA Knockout’s World Champion Masha Slamovich is another name WWE fans have gotten familiar with throughout 2025.

Appearing on WWE NXT much like others on this list, Slamovich most recently competed at WWE Heatwave, being pinned in a Knockouts World Title three-way by Ash By Elegance.

While that will most likely lead to herself and Ash continuing their feud on TNA television, it seems clear that WWE are fans of the Russian star, and may someday opt to try and bring her into the company on a full-time basis.

Slamovich did only re-sign with TNA back in January this year, so this one may not be as imminent as others, but at 27 years old, she has more than enough time to make the move someday.

1. Mike Santana

While WWE star Jacy Jayne has now lost the TNA Knockouts World Championship, fellow NXT star Trick Williams still holds TNA’s top male prize – the TNA World Championship.

Hot on his tail to take the title off of “Trick Willy” however is Mike Santana, someone who for the longest time was synonymous with being a tag team wrestler alongside Ortiz, but in recent years has reinvented himself as a singles star.

So much so that it seems inevitable that Santana wins the TNA World Title at the company’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, a win that is going to rank as one of the most celebrated in recent TNA history if it happens.

While Santana’s immediate future is with TNA, there have been reports that WWE are interested in the former AEW star, so again, this move is one to keep an eye on heading into 2026.
