Throughout the history of AEW, there have been a variety of former TNA champions who have signed with the promotion.
From Christian Cage and Samoa Joe to more recent arrivals like Josh Alexander and Ace Austin, these former TNA talents have made an impact on the AEW roster throughout its history.
Looking at the current free agency market, there are various former TNA champions who could arrive in AEW to cause a systemic shift.
Here are seven potential former TNA champions to sign with AEW.
7. Masha Slamovich

2025 has been one of the biggest years of Masha Slamovich’s career.
Coming into the year as the TNA Knockouts World Champion, Slamovich has still maintained a stellar record on the independent scene, while continuing to excel in TNA Wrestling.
After being highlighted on WWE NXT TV as of late, Masha could use that exposure to bring eyes to her next home.
Slamovich choosing to sign with AEW would be a huge statement since WWE invested time in the former TNA Knockouts World Champion.

Released from WWE in April 2024, Cameron Grimes has since hit the ground running on the independent scene.
Grimes, once again known as Trevor Lee, has continued to showcase himself in the ring and steal the show in multiple different independent promotions.
Lee would definitely fit the in-house style of All Elite Wrestling to a tee and could shine on this roster.
Trevor Lee squaring off with the likes of Bandido, Speedball Mike Bailey and Kyle Fletcher would definitely get some attention in AEW.

Despite having more than 20 years in the pro wrestling business, KUSHIDA is still going strong.
Currently under contract for New Japan Pro Wrestling, KUSHIDA has continued to perform all over the world for promotions like CMLL and MLW.
In a recent interview, the former TNA X-Division Champion has made it clear that he is open to making a return to All Elite Wrestling.
Signing a dual contract similar to his Intergalactic Jet Setters tag team partner Kevin Knight, KUSHIDA could work on AEW TV more often and potentially form a formidable trio with JetSpeed.

Despite making several different appearances over the past five years, Cardona has never signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Although he has shown a desire to return to WWE, the former Zack Ryder could make a pivot and decide to sign with AEW.
Cardona signing with AEW could see him being inserted into the current storyline involving his two former mentors Adam Copeland and Christian Cage.

In February, The Good Brothers were part of the latest slate of WWE releases after their second run with the company.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have made for one of the most successful and decorated tag teams of their generation.

2. AJ Styles

AJ Styles has made it no secret that he does not plan on wrestling past the age of 50.
At 48 years old, “The Phenomenal One” does not have a lot of time left inside the squared circle before he wants to hang up his boots for good.
While he re-signed a new deal with WWE, Styles might call an audible and decide to sign with All Elite Wrestling when his contract expires.
Styles signing with AEW could open the door for some must watch matches against the likes of Hangman Adam Page, Swerve Strickland, Kenny Omega or Will Ospreay.

1. Chris Bey

On the August 16 edition of AEW Collision, Ace Austin made his debut with the company in a loss to Ricochet.
Following the bout, the former three-time TNA X-Division Champion was announced as the newest signing to All Elite Wrestling.
Fans immediately questioned if Austin’s tag team partner Chris Bey could join him in the promotion.
When and if Bey is able to step back in the ring again after his serious neck injury, AEW could reunite ABC and add their exceptional duo to the newfound resurgence for the tag team division.
