While there is plenty of buzz about the upcoming inductions to the WWE Hall of Fame 2026, it is also fun to think about a potential AEW Hall of Fame beginning some day.

Should Tony Khan elect to create an AEW Hall of Fame, there are already some major names who could be inducted.

Here are six potential first-ever AEW Hall of Fame inductees.

6. Sting

AEW star Sting

Retiring from in-ring competition from AEW, it would seem that Sting could be perfect in any potential first class of AEW Hall of Fame inductees.

Having made a formative impact on not only AEW but on professional wrestling as a whole, there is a solid case to be made for Sting to be included.

Already inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2016, perhaps any upcoming honoring of AEW stars could be the perfect place to re-visit his iconic career.

Able to reference his impact on past and future generations, there could be plenty of unheard stories told and fun anecdotes shared upon a classic induction speech.

5. Bryan Danielson

A wrestler who has made a big impact in professional wrestling as a whole but certainly on the trajectory of AEW is Bryan Danielson.

Beloved in WWE as Daniel Bryan, by the time Danielson joined AEW action there was an entirely fresh character for him to portray.

Bringing a delight in violence that hadn’t been fully explored in AEW before his arrival, Danielson would go on to be pivotal in several top storylines in the company like the Blackpool Combat Club and ultimately, falling to the Death Riders.

Still making some appearances with AEW, mostly on commentary for Dynamite, Danielson would be a likely inclusion in any initial crop of AEW Hall of Fame inductees.

4. Sabu

One name that made a brief but memorable set of appearances in AEW before his passing is the legendary star, Sabu.

While Sabu has yet to join the WWE Hall of Fame, it could be that there is a posthumous induction in the future in AEW.

After making a notable appearance in AEW back in 2023 during a feud between Adam Cole and Chris Jericho, Sabu would be pivotal when he sided with Cole & Roderick Strong against Jericho.

While AEW would be limited in what footage they could show, Sabu’s contributions to ECW deserve a Hall of Fame nod in one of the major companies.

3. Chris Jericho

One future AEW Hall of Famer could certainly still wind up being Chris Jericho, regardless of what 2026 holds for the legendary star.

While the future status for Chris Jericho remains unknown, it is entirely possible he could pop-up anywhere next.

Although some fans remain committed to the notion that Jericho could be arriving in WWE imminently, it is also possible that a behind the scenes deal has been worked out.

Perhaps able to make a big return to AEW in the future, Chris Jericho would be the perfect first induction into any future AEW Hall of Fame.

2. Samoa Joe

Another current AEW star that already came to the company with a massive career in the industry is Samoa Joe.

Making his mark around professional wrestling including ROH, TNA and WWE, Samoa Joe would make a perfect first round Hall of Fame inductee for AEW.

Certainly a legendary name with a storied career, there could be an incredible set of induction speeches made on behalf of the well-regarded star.

Potentially looking to retire from in-ring competition still in AEW, Samoa Joe could certainly carry his own landmark farewell tour coming in the next few years.

1. Brodie Lee (Jon Huber)

One posthumous induction into any potential AEW Hall of Fame could certainly be Mr. Brodie Lee, real name Jon Huber.

While fans were excited to see what the former Luke Harper from WWE could do in AEW, his time in the company was tragically brief, but this did not diminish its impact.

Joining AEW in March 2020, he made a big impression on the Dark Order faction as well as numerous other storylines, notably feuding with Cody Rhodes. With his final bout in AEW coming about in early October 2020, unfortunately Huber would fall ill and pass away on December 26, 2020.

Certainly formative to AEW’s future success despite not being able to experience it first-hand, Brodie Lee is a shoo-in for induction in the event AEW ever establishes a Hall of Fame.
