CM Punk is heading to his second straight WrestleMania main event when he faces Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
On the March 30 edition of Monday Night Raw, Punk brawled with Reigns that ended with “The Best In The World” driving “The OTC” through the commentary table with a Powerbomb before standing tall to close the show.
Reigns is not scheduled to be on the April 6 WWE Raw, so it should be interesting to see what Punk will do to progress his feud with just two weeks left before Mania 42.
Here are six potential CM Punk WWE Raw plans without Roman Reigns.
6. Sit Down Interview With Michael Cole About His Rivalry With Roman Reigns

CM Punk won his seventh WWE World Championship by defeating Jey Uso at Saturday Night’s Event on November 1
Roman Reigns not being on WWE Raw opens the door for the focus of the World Heavyweight Championship build shifting directly to CM Punk.
WWE could enhance how Punk is viewed in this feud by giving him time to explain his actions over the past few weeks.
From his mention of Roman’s late father to his dealings with The Usos, Punk could explain why he made each of these choices in a sitdown interview.
With Michael Cole asking the questions, this could add extra layers to Punk and Reigns’ rivalry, while keeping the story progressing without the need of “The OTC” to appear.
5. In-Ring Interaction With Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu debuted in WWE in June 2024, eight months after CM Punk returned to the company
On the March 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk took things to another level between himself and Roman Reigns when he stated that he planned on burying “The OTC” next to his late father.
This one statement has sparked Roman’s family being invited to get involved in this rivalry with “The Best In The World.”
After Reigns told his family to go after Punk before and after WrestleMania 42, this could happen in the form of Jacob Fatu coming to confront “The Second City Saint” in Roman’s absence.
While Fatu is still dealing with his feud with Drew McIntyre on Friday Night SmackDown, “The Samoan Werewolf” might be the most unhinged member of the Samoan Dynasty who could bring some intensity to the story being told between Punk and Reigns.
4. Facing Jey Uso
On the March 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Usos confronted CM Punk about his comments towards Roman Reigns and his late father, Sika Anoa’i.
Jey and Jimmy Uso tried to hold Punk accountable for his statement, demanding an apology from “The Best In The World.”
Then on the March 23 WWE Raw, Jey Uso once again confronted Punk and was looking for a fight with the current World Heavyweight Championship.
With Roman not scheduled for the April 6 Raw, it would make sense if Jey took advantage of that and faced Punk in a bout ahead of WrestleMania 42.
3. Cody Rhodes Promo Exchange Going Over Their Individual Roads To WrestleMania 42
Over the past few years, fans have seen CM Punk and Cody Rhodes have a pair of memorable promo exchanges to build up their individual characters and the Royal Rumble match.
However, 2026 has not yet seen Punk and Rhodes interact in a similar fashion to what they did in 2024 and 2025.
Considering that both stars are in major feuds over the two top prizes in WWE heading into WrestleMania 42, it would make sense if Cody showed up on Raw to speak with Punk.
With Pat McAfee joining forces with Randy Orton on the April 3 Friday Night SmackDown and things growing more intense with Roman Reigns on Raw, Rhodes could gain some insight from Punk that might help both men in their individual roads to “The Show of Shows.”
2. Trying To Convince The Usos To Turn Against Roman Reigns
During the confrontation with The Usos on the March 9 episode of WWE Raw, CM Punk brought up Roman Reigns’ past in The Bloodline and his manipulation of his cousins.
Bringing up his years of mental and physical abuse towards his family, Punk tried to hold his rival accountable, but also open the eyes of The Usos, who never received an apology from their cousin.
With Roman Reigns not scheduled to be on WWE Raw this week, Punk could once again try to convince The Usos that they should not be on their cousin’s side.
If Punk could say something that convinces The Usos, he could have them on his side heading into this all-important showdown over the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
1. A Confrontation With Rikishi

Rikishi’s full-time run in WWE ended in 2004, one year before CM Punk signed with the company
While CM Punk could confront one of the active members of the WWE roster that is a part of Roman Reigns’ family this week, he could also have to face some past legends.
Rikishi has been someone who has been very vocal about the current storylines of his sons, The Usos, and his cousin, Roman Reigns.
With Reigns away from this week’s WWE Raw, the company could call upon Rikishi to make a rare appearance to confront Punk for his words about his late uncle.
Wanting to finally get that apology that his sons wanted from the current World Heavyweight Champion, Rikishi could use the respect that he knows Punk has for him to get him to take accountability for dragging his family into this feud with Reigns on the road to WrestleMania 42.
