The AEW Worlds End pay-per-view is coming up on December 27, taking place at the Now Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
As with all AEW pay-per-views, there are a number of championships that could change hands on the night.
Here are five potential title changes at AEW Worlds End 2025.
5. New AEW Continental Champion

Mathematically the most likely AEW championship to change hands at Worlds End is the Continental Championship.
With the Continental Classic currently ongoing, we don’t yet know who’ll qualify through to the semi-finals and final at Worlds End.
Reigning champion from last year Kazuchika Okada is in the mix, but so are 11 others who could pick up the win in this year’s edition of the tournament.
Okada could certainly end up going back-to-back, but just mathematically, he only has a 1/12 chance of doing so, meaning we could get a new Continental Champion at Worlds End.

4. AEW Trios Championship – Eddie Kingston & Brodido Beat The Opps

A potential title bout that could go down on the Zero Hour of the broadcast set for Saturday, December 27 is an AEW World Trios Title match.
While Samoa Joe reigns as the AEW World Champion, The Opps also hold the AEW Trios Championship.
With the trio of Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata holding the titles, the addition of HOOK could see him defending the belt in lieu of the World Champion Samoa Joe.
Able to drop the titles in a furious match early in the show, the moment could serve as an ominous foreshadowing for the potential Samoa Joe losing his title.

3. AEW Tag Team Championship – Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Beat FTR

While Adam Copeland remains out of action in AEW right now, he could make his return in the near future.
Potentially returning to rejoin Christian Cage in taking on the current AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR could be set to put their titles on the line.
Seemingly set to do war in the near future, this showdown could come as soon as AEW Worlds End 2025.
Certainly leading to a future three-way battle between FTR, Cage & Cope and The Young Bucks over the AEW Tag Team Championship — there could be an AEW battle of the best tag teams of all time running concurrently to a similar storyline in WWE.

2. MJF Returns To Win AEW World Championship

After his Tables n’ Tacks match against Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out, MJF has been out of in-ring action.
With his latest Hollywood project reportedly finished up, he has still yet to return to his AEW obligations.
But with Samoa Joe currently holding the AEW World Championship, it could be a surprise from MJF that pops up at Worlds End 2025 to right the wrong from him losing the title to Joe at Worlds End 2023.

2. Mercedes Mone Loses TBS Championship

Mercedes Mone hasn’t had the most successful time of late.
While she still has a multitude of championships, she failed to win the AEW World Title from Kris Statlander, and then lost the ROH Women’s World TV Championship to Red Velvet.
Could the TBS Title be the next belt to slip through her fingers?
She doesn’t really have a clear challenger lined up right now, but there are plenty of women on the roster who could cause an upset.
