With Samoa Joe capturing the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear, he has cemented his second reign over AEW along with his faction The Opps.
Potentially looking to recruit even more new members to The Opps Dojo, there could be numerous AEW stars that would make great additions to the group.
Here are six potential AEW stars to join Samoa Joe in The Opps faction.
6. Eddie Kingston
While HOOK re-joined Samoa Joe and The Opps at Full Gear 2025, Eddie Kingston’s perspective has yet to be revealed, with “The Mad King” only stating that he didn’t want to talk about HOOK on this week’s AEW Dynamite.
His challenge to Katsuyori Shibata seems to suggest that he is still very much anti-Opps but perhaps that could be another swerve, with Kingston eventually joining the group.
Aligning with the powerhouses already in the group, similarly to the rest of the troupe — they have the distinct possibility of continuing to get babyface reactions from the crowd.
Similarly to the Hurt Syndicate, it would make sense to see The Opps become the next dominant ‘tweener’ stable with the addition of Eddie Kingston.

5. Bryan Keith
An AEW star with untapped potential that could truly thrive under the apparent tutelage of Samoa Joe is Bryan Keith.
Since the departure of Chris Jericho from AEW, Big Bill and Bryan Keith have remained aligned as a tag team, just without The Learning Tree name.
Definitely able to recapture some of the violent magic of his indie persona with the right light in AEW, Bryan Keith could become a vicious new member of The Opps.
The perfect tag team partner for any existing member of the stable, Bryan Keith is a solid pick for Samoa’s Joe’s stable.

4. Kamille
A potential female addition to The Opps stable could be Kamille who hasn’t been seen in AEW for quite some time.
Last in action in AEW in October 2024, perhaps Kamille could re-emerge in an entirely new storyline.
Popping up as the newest member of The Opps, Kamille could be a foe for Marina Shafir in the Death Riders or Willow Nightingale in the Conglomeration who could be in action against The Opps.
Potentially returning ahead of the airing of the re-boot of American Gladiators on Amazon Prime where she stars as one of the Gladiators — Kamille could find herself back on AEW TV in 2026.

3. Deonna Purrazzo
One absent AEW star that could return to serve as a thunderous female addition to The Opps is Deonna Purrazzo.
Able to exemplify a penchant for violence that is shown by the others in the group, she could provide a valuable service.
Offering a female back-up to the squad, she would be poised to fight off any potential helping hands for opponents from the women’s division.
Able to show off the same interference abilities as Marina Shafir for the Death Riders, Purrazzo could be a pivotal member of The Opps.

2. Roderick Strong
An AEW star that could find himself looking to the dark side after recent events could be Roderick Strong.
Aligning himself with The Opps could be a solid opportunity for Strong’s character to continue to be featured on TV in the absence of Kyle O’Reilly who is currently sidelined.
Roderick Strong exemplifies the same technical excellence as the other members of the group, in addition to a commitment to violence.
Able to join The Opps in fending off Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland, Strong could be the perfect addition to The Opps.

1. Nick Wayne
A talent that could benefit from a refresh when he is back on AEW TV is Nick Wayne.
While Nick Wayne is currently out of action due to injury, when he does return to action he could become a fearsome addition to The Opps.
Linking up with HOOK in a next generation pairing, Nick Wayne is due for a character refresh with his past work in the Patriarchy being solid albeit subservient.
Able to spread his wings in a different way in a group that he isn’t positioned as a step-child, Wayne could return with a character reboot.
