6 Babyface Turns At AEW Full Gear 2025

With AEW Full Gear 2025 coming up on November 22, there could be some very big character shifts set to happen soon.

From potential babyface turns that split one star off from a bigger group to others that could reunite old friends — there could be some very interesting twists and turns by the end of Full Gear 2025.

Here are six potential babyface turns at AEW Full Gear 2025.

6. Konosuke Takeshita

AEW and NJPW star Konosuke Takeshita

With the growing number of members of the Don Callis Family, if Mark Briscoe loses his match against Kyle Fletcher, he’ll have to join their dastardly stable.

Possibly turning babyface on the entire Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita could definitely cost Kyle Fletcher his TNT Championship during the No Holds Barred match.

Giving a feel good moment to Briscoe, there could definitely be another opportunity for Fletcher to get it back — or move on to challenge for an even bigger title.

A viable contender to chase the AEW World Championship in 2026, actually losing the TNT Championship could end up benefiting Fletcher in the end.

5. Megan Bayne

There is a big four-team war to determine the inaugural winners of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Bringing together the fairly new alliance of Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne against The Sister of Sin (Skye Blue & Julia Hart) against the Timeless Love Bombs (Mina Shirakawa & Toni Storm) and the Babes Of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) in a four-way tag team match, anything could happen.

Potentially looking to re-balance the dynamics of heels and faces in the division, Marina Shafir could end up turning on Megan Bayne in a vicious manner that leads to Bayne emerging as more of a babyface.

With Bayne seemingly still yet to come into her own in the AEW women’s division, it could be that shaking up her character in order to initiate a feud with Shafir could benefit both dominant characters.

4. The Young Bucks

At AEW Full Gear 2025 there is set to be a three-on-three battle with major stakes as the winning team will take home a “one-million dollar cash prize.”

With the reunited Jurassic Express (Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) joining forces with Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson are being recruited by the Don Callis Family and will team up with Josh Alexander.

While it seemed as though they were definitely planning on staying aligned with the Don Callis Family ahead of their money match at Full Gear — it would make complete sense to see The Young Bucks turn babyface at the event.

With the recent return of the Being The Elite web series on YouTube as well as the timing —marking three years since the trio made their return together after being suspended at Full Gear 2022 — it could be that there is an Elite reunion in the works.

3. Hurt Syndicate

There could be a unique moment to cement the Hurt Syndicate as a babyface trio in AEW.

While Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP are perhaps meant to portray heels, the fan support they receive makes it hard to deny their babyface status.

With the number one and number two entrants in the Casino Gauntlet to determine the inaugural AEW National Championship, the title could be determined quickly between the Hurt Syndicate powerhouses.

Other known entrants are set to be Ricochet, Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight plus there could certainly be the surprise return of MJF or even Jay White.

2. Mercedes Mone

On the card for AEW Full Gear 2025 is a big bout where Kris Statlander will put her AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against The CEO, Mercedes Mone.

In what could be a potential rare double turn — Kris Statlander could absolutely declare herself a heel and reveal a frightening new alliance — while turning the CEO into a sympathetic character, albeit briefly.

While Mercedes’ entire character is about not being humble, it could be intriguing to see her left humbled by being not only out wrestled but potentially outsmarted as well.

With several choices of returning muscle that could align with Statlander to topple Mone including Britt Baker or Kamille — Mercedes would end up an unlikely babyface in the situation but persist as the TBS Champion.

1. Max Caster

AEW's Max Caster

On the Full Gear Zero Hour there will be another money match featuring numerous popular teams including a reunion between Max Caster & Anthony Bowens.

However the pair continue to make it clear that they are not willing to team together, hoping to get away from the match entirely.

Set to face the Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & Austin Gunn), The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) as well as Big Bill and Bryan Keith — it could be that Caster turns babyface.

Also potentially likely as an outcome for their reunion given Bowens’ recent tone on social media — particularly calling for the match to be cancelled and the promised purse given to him instead —might be that they both turn heel but we’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
