There have been some big question marks surrounding the status and future of the Death Riders in AEW as of late.
With Jon Moxley’s momentum taking a downward turn, it could be time for a hostile takeover within the group, including some new members.
Here are five potential new members of Death Riders.
5. Darby Allin
One fascinating possibility as a brand new member and potential future leader of the Death Riders is Darby Allin.
With the original reports of the inspiration for the group being rooted in an intriguing film choice, the general gist was that there was a tyrannical leader who ended up being overthrown by a righteous follower.
Potentially fitting the bill perfectly for one of the longest term stories from AEW, if Darby Allin were to join the Death Riders, there could be an imaginative end to the group.
With Allin having previously fallen victim to the group – since it was the Death Riders that were credited for taking him out of action for months after throwing him down a flight of stairs – for him to end up joining the group and taking it down from the inside could be intensely cathartic for the former TNT Champion.

4. Eddie Kingston
While Eddie Kingston has laid out a challenge against AEW World Champion Samoa Joe in the face of the latter’s recent heel turn, it might be intriguing to see Kingston link up with the Death Riders.
Possibly joining under the guise of having a shared enemy in Samoa Joe, Eddie Kingston could fall in with the Death Riders to seek revenge on The Opps.
Able to take down the group from the inside, there could definitely be a big reveal in the future that Kingston was working with the babyfaces all along.
With Kingston a solid additional AEW pillar to take up the fight along with Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page, it would be fun to see the unlikely trio come together in the end.

3. Gabe Kidd
Already a member of the Bullet Club War Dogs in NJPW, Gabe Kidd is seemingly already an honorary addition to the Death Riders.
Joining forces with PAC to inflict damage on Darby Allin, Kidd seems to fall perfectly in line with the Death Riders’ goal of creating chaos and havoc in AEW.
Becoming the new leader of the Death Riders, Gabe Kidd could end up switching up how the group operates.
Ditching any semblance of honor, a new Gabe Kidd-led Death Riders could end up causing even more anarchy than Moxley.

2. Brody King
Brody King and Bandido are no longer the AEW World Tag Team Champions after dropping the title to FTR at Full Gear.
King has said he’ll be continuing Brodido, but it could be a cover for a heel turn.
King and potentially even a returning Buddy Matthews could move on, turn on Bandido, and align with the top heel faction in AEW.
Alternatively, it could even be Bandido himself that turns heel and moves onto a Death Riders spot.

1. Samoa Joe
With Samoa Joe having taken a clear turn to the dark side and bringing the rest of The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata & HOOK) along with him, perhaps a joining of forces could happen.
Bringing together some of AEW’s most violent talent could end up being an unholy alliance that would prove even more difficult to fight together than separately.
Proving to be a united force against the likes of Hangman Adam Page, Swerve Strickland and The Conglomeration, the super group of The Opps and the Death Riders under Samoa Joe’s leadership could be legendary.
Able to effectively dominate the AEW roster, there would of course be a future falling out between the groups that would lead to all out heel civil war.
