At Globe Life Field on July 12, AEW is promoting its first ever stadium show on US soil — All In Texas.
The show is tracking to be a success for the company, with over 23,000 tickets distributed according to the latest count from WrestleTix.
Given that it’s the company’s flagship PPV of the year, there will undoubtedly be major storyline developments — including potential heel turns.
Here are five AEW stars who could turn heel during the course of this year’s supershow.
5. Kris Statlander
One individual where storyline seeds have certainly been planted for a heel turn is Kris Statlander.
In recent weeks on AEW programming, Statlander has had several interactions with the Death Riders — including a seemingly motivational exchange with Jon Moxley on Collision.
At All In Texas, the 29-year-old enters the Casino Gauntlet, having secured the coveted first position by pinning Willow Nightingale — who had been distracted by the Death Riders’ Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir.
In the Casino Gauntlet, could we once again see Statlander turning on Nightingale and going full heel alongside the Death Riders?

4. Swerve Strickland
A big question heading into All In Texas is whether Swerve Strickland could turn heel.
Swerve is set to team with Will Ospreay against The Young Bucks in a bout with a major stipulation: if the Bucks win, then Swerve and Ospreay will be barred from challenging for the AEW World Title for an entire year.
Importantly, it was Ospreay who agreed to the stipulation — something Swerve visibly looked unconvinced by.
While the seeds are clearly being planted for a turn, it seems more likely that AEW slow-burns the breakup, with Swerve’s frustration and hostility building over time rather than immediately erupting at All In.

3. HOOK
HOOK has recently been out of action, reportedly recovering from a concussion.
His return, however, appears imminent — and seeds have already been planted for a potential heel turn.
During the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing, he briefly appeared to assist his former Opps teammates, taking out Claudio Castagnoli with a golf club — before giving Samoa Joe a lingering stare and walking off.
In storyline, HOOK could blame Joe for replacing him with Powerhouse Hobbs, leading to a return at AEW All In Texas where he costs his former teammates the Trios Titles against the Death Riders.

2. Mina Shirakawa
At All In Texas, AEW is promoting the biggest women’s match in company history, as unbeaten TBS Champion Mercedes Moné takes on AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm.
Since her official return and full-time signing, Mina Shirakawa has aligned herself with Storm and played a role in the build-up to this huge match.
While no storyline seeds have been planted yet, a shock turn by Shirakawa could be a way to take the title off Storm and give her a new direction.
It may be unlikely that such a major match ends with a screwy finish — especially on such a big show — but it’s certainly not outside the realm of possibility.

1. Daniel Garcia
On the July 5 edition of AEW Collision, Kyle Fletcher and Daniel Garcia met, fighting over number one contendership for the TNT Title and the chance to challenge Adam Cole at All In — a bout that Fletcher ultimately won.
Cole joined the commentary table and, while attempting to support Garcia, he repeatedly distracted him during key moments of the standout match.
These were clear seeds being planted, with a Garcia heel turn seemingly on its way.
Could we see this turn take place at All In, with Garcia getting involved during the TNT Title match and costing Cole the title?
