8 New WWE Stars To Join SmackDown

Friday Night SmackDown has seen several new faces arrive through its doors in recent months, both from NXT and new WWE signings debuting.

From Rey Fenix and Fraxiom to JC Mateo and Giulia, these stars are adding depth to every division up and down the SmackDown brand in a major way.

Looking over at the NXT brand and talent yet to debut at this time, there could be any number of stars who could make their way to SmackDown in the near future.

Here are eight new WWE stars to potentially join SmackDown.

8. Ethan Page

Ever since arriving in WWE, Ethan Page has showcased every quality that makes him tailor made for the WWE main roster.

Whether it be his mic skills or character work, Page has displayed a level of skill and poise that should prove to beneficial on either Raw and SmackDown.

Despite “All Ego” capturing the NXT North American Championship in May, there is a chance WWE could be gearing up for him to make the move up to the main roster sooner rather than later.

Considering recent reports and rumors regarding Page becoming a member of Seth Rollins’ new faction, the former AEW star could make his way to Raw, but he might be better suited over on SmackDown where he could stand on his own as a singles star on the rise.

7. Hikuleo

Signing with WWE in June 2024, Hikuleo has been absent from the company for over a year with many fans questioning when he would show up on television.

The former NJPW star has the size and experience to become a breakout star on any of the three brands of WWE.

With SmackDown being the home of The Bloodline, it only makes sense for Hikuleo to debut on the brand sooner rather than later.

Considering his brothers Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa are on the blue brand, Hikuleo could find his new home alongside them over on SmackDown long term.

6. Lola Vice

Signing with WWE in 2022, Lola Vice has been with NXT for the past three years, proving what separates her from the rest of the women’s division.

Vice’s undeniable charisma makes her immediately stand out from the pack and should do the same for her when the time comes for her to get her much needed call-up.

With several stars making the move from NXT to Raw or SmackDown in 2025, it feels like Lola should be the next in line.

After failing to get a title opportunity at the upcoming WWE Evolution 2025, Vice might need a change of scenery that could not only help her, but the SmackDown brand by adding her to the mix.

5. Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo has been one of the stalwarts for the NXT brand dating back to his introduction during the start of 2.0 era.

Growing and improving before our eyes. “The Don of NXT” became a champion multiple times over, winning every championship except for the top prize on the brand.

Now that he is the middle of war between the former members of The D’Angelo Family, it feels like it might getting closer to his eventual exit from NXT to move on to bigger and better things.

Tony D making his way to SmackDown could add a new contender for the United States Championship, potentially with the view to eventually climb the ladder to the main event scene over the next few years.

4. Matt Cardona

Matt Cardona was released from WWE back in 2020 and has gone on to achieve greatness all around the independent scene of the business since then.

Going from Zack Ryder to “The Indy God,” Cardona has been able to reinvent himself and proven why he is a star that any promotion would be lucky to have.

Since making a name for himself as a major star outside of the WWE umbrella, Cardona has made it clear that he is open to making a return to the promotion whenever they are ready to have him.

If he does re-sign with the company, SmackDown feels like a likely destination for Cardona considering his wife Chelsea Green is one of the most entertaining stars on the brand right now.

3. Ricky Saints

In February, Ricky Saints made his debut in WWE over on the NXT brand and immediately became a breakout star.

It took the former AEW star just over one month to capture gold when he defeated Shawn Spears to win the NXT North American Championship.

Since losing the title to “All Ego” Ethan Page, reports and rumours have speculated if Saints could be on his way to the WWE main roster.

Considering his connection to Cody Rhodes, Ricky coming to SmackDown would be a great way to introduce him to the WWE main roster audience as a friend to the top babyface in the company.

2. Jordynne Grace

Another WWE NXT star who has been rumoured to make the move to the main roster recently has been Jordynne Grace.

The former three-time TNA Knockouts World Champion came to the company with a ton of buzz and expectations.

Making her way to NXT, many fans believed it would only be a matter of time before she got the main roster call-up where she would not look out of place with the talent on both Raw and SmackDown.

When the time is right, Grace could make some major waves if called up to Friday nights where her combination of strength, speed and precision would bring something completely new to the table.

Over the past two years, Trick Williams has gone from a star introduced as a sidekick to Carmelo Hayes to a man who can stand on his own as a main event level talent.

Becoming one of the most popular stars on NXT, Williams has reached unprecedented heights and felt more than ready to make the move to the main roster.

Now that he has captured the TNA World Champion, Trick is able to show everyone that he can be the top star for an entire promotion.

The former two-time NXT Champion could get the call-up to SmackDown where he can skyrocket up the ladder and square off with the top stars in no time.
