Tonight is the night. WrestleMania 38 is here.
As Night 1 begins and continues over to Night 2 on Sunday, here are some bold predictions for the show of shows.
This close before the granddaddy of them all, you’d think everything is locked in, but with WWE you never know.
What surprises could we see? Who will show up? What is going to happen? Let’s get crazy and look at some last-minute ideas.
8. Veer Mahaan Will Come

Veer Mahaan has been on his way to WWE Raw for over six months. The longest-running vignettes in the company’s history.
Only a few weeks ago we finally learned that the former heavy of Jinder Mahal is going to come to Raw…after WrestleMania.
But what if he just can not wait? Obviously, Seth Rollins is still in need of an opponent. Or maybe Veer is just taking someone’s spot at WrestleMania 38.
Somehow he has got to come.
7. The United States Championship Will Be Defended

Scandalously both the Intercontinental Champion Ricochet and the United States Champion Finn Balor are not booked for WrestleMania.
How can you not have room on your biggest show of the year for your champions? This is a two-night event.
At least Ricochet is defended his title the night before, during “WrestleMania” SmackDown against Angel & Humberto.
Finn Balor, however, just entered the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal as champion – also during “WrestleMania” SmackDown.
Balor and former champion Damian Priest had a ready-made WrestleMania feud before it was suddenly stopped.
They could make it on the card as a very last-minute addition.
6. Will Smith Will Be There

It was a huge scandal during the 94th Academy Awards. The man that won “Actor of the Year” later the same night, slapped Chris Rock across the face on stage.
Rock had made comments about Smith’s wife Jade Pinkett Smith’s illness during his speech, which didn’t sit well with her husband.
Since then the situation has created a huge hype in pop culture.
Since this year’s WrestleMania features many celebrities to create some mainstream buzz, you would think WWE has reached out to Mr. Smith already.
5. Omos Is Going To Beat Bobby Lashley

For some, this might be an obvious one. But we are talking about Bobby Lashley.
The former multi-time World Champion only just returned to the company after an injury scare.
Lashley is in desperate need of a victory and has experience breaking streaks, for example, the Masterlock Challenge.
Yes, Omos has become an unstoppable force and is unbeaten in singles competition in 2022.
Still, him beating Lashley would be an absolute shocker – but he might just do it.
4. The Undertaker Interferes In The Main Event

WrestleMania 38 is held in Dallas, Texas. The home state of The Undertaker. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame last night.
WrestleMania is The Undertaker’s show. Only two men have ever beaten The Undertaker at the WWE’s biggest show of the year:
Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. The two men fighting for the WWE and Universal Championship in the main event.
Maybe the phenom wants to make his presence felt one final time.
3. The Championships Will Not Actually Be Unified

Because of Bobby Lashley’s untimely injury, WWE ended up with the WWE Championship on Brock Lesnar’s shoulders while he was feuding with Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Now the showcase of the immortals will be headlined by a unification match.
Brock Lesnar himself is indeed experienced with the scenario. He was the final person to hold the separate WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship belts.
Back then Raw and SmackDown were basically one show. There was no brand split.
That is different in 2022. There is a brand split and also two networks: Fox and the USA Network.
Both have had ambitions in the past to have certain stars on their show.
With one World Champion jumping between both shows it would not help to create different and exciting television as the same people would always be on tv.
Therefore WWE might back out of the actual unification of the belts somehow.
2. Shane McMahon Will Show

Earlier this week we learned that Shane McMahon will be present during WrestleMania weekend.
We just do not know if he will only be doing things outside of the ring or if he will indeed attend WrestleMania 38.
Will Shane McMahon be Seth Rollins’ opponent after all?
Do not forget: Seth’s opponent is handpicked by Mr. McMahon. However, do not forget who kicked his own son out of the company after the Royal Rumble.
Shane McMahon is one of the faces to watch in the next 48 hours.
1. Cody Rhodes Won’t

Appearing on WrestleTalk’s own Denise Salcedo’s podcast wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer claimed that people close to Cody Rhodes think he might back out of his WrestleMania match.
Although not officially confirmed by WWE it looks like a done deal that it will be Cody Rhodes facing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38.
But he just might and WWE has to go with an emergency plan. Shane McMahon, Veer Mahaan, or someone even bigger.
