7 WWE Stars To Return To TNA Wrestling

With WWE now enjoying a multi-year partnership with TNA Wrestling and crossovers already occurring, there are numerous stars who could return to their former promotion.

TNA Wrestling has had a rich history over the years and was a launching ground for many WWE careers.

Now that crossovers are no longer off the table, here are seven WWE stars to return to TNA Wrestling.

7. AJ Styles

Probably the WWE name most linked with a TNA Wrestling return is AJ Styles, due to his legendary status within his former company.

Now that there is a partnership between WWE and TNA, it would be a great time for Styles to return. Particularly to pay homage to his career achievements, having a spell in TNA Wrestling could be not only entertaining but history making.

Styles held the TNA King of the Mountain Championship twice, the TNA World Championship twice, the TNA World Tag Team Championship twice and most notably – he was the TNA X-Division Champion six times.

There is someone else who holds the distinction of having held the X-Division Championship the most number of times at a whopping 10 reigns that could also return to the promotion…

6. Motor City Machine Guns

While only arriving recently in WWE, it could be a really heartwarming moment for the Motor City Machine Guns to return to TNA Wrestling at some point.

Whether for a brief appearance or even one match, who doesn’t want to see the Motor City Machine Guns take on the Hardy Boyz?

Even if that isn’t your cup of tea, there are still some moments to made for the longtime TNA Wrestling stars Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

Similarly to AJ Styles, the homecoming can be emotional but brief – a simple way to honor a big time in their careers before WWE.

5. Mr. Stone

After a recent episode of WWE NXT saw Robert Stone laid out by the mystery faction (comprised of Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin, and Saquon Shugars), he took to social media to show that he was still alive.

Not only was he alive, he was seemingly willing to resurrect his former character, Robbie E.

At least for the purposes of getting into Full Sail for a recent TNA Wrestling taping as the hilarious clip shared by Stone on social media was quite joking.

Or was he? With Robbie E’s New Jersey style beginning to be back in style, maybe he should also take it back to The Shore in TNA Wrestling.

4. Jordynne Grace

The most recent departure from TNA Wrestling to sign with WWE was The Juggernaut, Jordynne Grace.

With Grace having been synonymous with the Knockouts division for the past several years, she could be an ideal ambassador for the partnership between the two companies.

Having Grace appear back in TNA Wrestling could add legitimacy to the relationship with WWE, as well as give iMPACT fans a chance to welcome one of their recent greats back.

Possibly a chance to boost a more unknown NXT women’s talent, Grace wouldn’t even have to wrestle in TNA to make an iMPACT on her return.

3. Ethan Page

Before All Ego Ethan Page was in WWE NXT, or AEW before that, he was a Tag Team Champion in Impact Wrestling.

While his former tag team partner Josh Alexander (in The North) may have departed from TNA Wrestling, perhaps Page has other scores to settle.

It would be fun to see him go to TNA to wreak a little havoc now, five years on from his departure.

Page seems set for a main roster call-up at some point in 2025, so perhaps before that happens he can return to the iMPACT Zone for one more run.

2. Naomi

After Naomi departed WWE in the Spring of 2022, she would ultimately return reinvented and using her real name, Trinity in TNA Wrestling.

Going on to feud with Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace, Naomi would ultimately become Knockouts Champion, dropping the title to Grace before returning to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble.

It would make complete sense for Naomi to return to her old stomping grounds and possibly face off against some former foes.

Or Naomi could perhaps even make an appearance to pick a fight with an entirely new face in TNA Wrestling, someone not present during her run in the promotion.

1. Xavier Woods

Fans would be forgiven if they couldn’t remember a time Xavier Woods wasn’t in WWE.

However, as the self-proclaimed first homegrown talent from TNA Wrestling to go to WWE, Xavier Woods (or Consequences Creed as he was once known) would be perfect to return today.

After having a decorated career in WWE, he can assume immediate authority over any potential foes and more importantly if he were to bring Kofi Kingston as well, we could take another step back in time.

The New Day taking on The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) will never not be something worth tuning in for.
